Depending on where you stand this amazing rock looks just like an elephant, its amazing to see it for its vastness in size just standing out in the desert. Definitely worth the drive out to see.

Make sure you get the photo from the angle that looks like an elephant. We didn't stay there long enough to get one that resembles the shot here.

The mountains in Al-Ulha city are different from others specially Elephant rock. The area there are amazing and i recommend everyone to go there, but make sure to have 4 wheel drive to be in the save side. For more support we can add me...More

I saw such beauty of rock formations and desert only in wadi rum; this place has an equal beauty. Highly recommended if u visit Madain Saleh u should visit this place Free access and car accessible , I recommend visiting at morn or at down...More

we had our own little mini tornado, the area is amazing in it's views, a beautiful drive from Jeddah, along old gasstations and 4 different kinds of desert

The Elephant Rock, 5km south of the Mada’in Saleh site gate, a natural beauty produced in the sandstone by the regular sandstorms over thousand of years. Take your time and enjoy surrounding rocks as well.

There are other formations in the area but this one is the most popular and impressive. ..... other than looking at it there are some interesting things to see....
