We hiked in early July 2017 so there was still a bit of snow in the higher elevations. We had to cross two snow fields of about 50 yards each. Kind of a pain in tennis shoes but worth every step. About half way up...More

We drove Highway 88 from Minden/Gardnerville. On this route is several lakes The top of the pass is called Carson Pass. Since it was mid May and it was a good snow year, there was still a lot of snow on the mountain peaks, Caples...More

This is a beautiful location high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Many trails and lakes in the area to explore along with amazing vistas.
