It is indeed remarkably beautiful. But then, at low tide, one can not swim. There is only 20cm of water. And there are sea urchins.

Beach by itself is very nice, but old woman, Grace, owner of the guesthouse claimed the beach, trained many aggressive dogs to keep tourists off. She usually let them go to the beach sometimes, so I was bitten by this dogs and had to do antirabies injections. Hope one day this beach will be taken of the dogs and returned to the people of Romblon. Just imagine how it is dangerous for kids, but unfortunately she seems to has informal relationship with barangay secretary and local police, as they refused to accept my report:(

Free entry, no stalls selling anything means peace and tranquility!

The beach itself is ok. As with most beaches these days you will find it littered with plastic bottles, crisp packets and general rubbish.

To get to the sand bar you need to walk about 5 minutes along the beach. If you are only going to see the sand bar you could use a local tide forecast so you get there when the tide is low and hopefully see the sand bar. We went at low tide but the bar was still covered by water, I think to see it full exposed you need to catch a tide when the moon pull is strong like at a full moon.

Being an out of the lime light location you will more than likely have the beach to yourselves, maybe on a weekend there will be more locals there? We went on a Monday and it was very quiet!

Well worth a visit if you are looking for a quiet scenic place to catch some sunshine.

Didn’t disappoint! The stretch of sand is long, and the sand bar end becomes coral-ly. To the left of the sandbar was nice to swim. Drops away suddenly and quickly becomes deep. Water was super clear. No shade and even on an overcast day I got burnt!

We went to Romblon just to check Bonbon Beach. It's around minutes walk from the port area. I was happy that we came to see Bonbon Beach. The water was very clean the sand is almost powdery white. We actually walk thru the sandbar going to a small island which you can hear a lot of birds. It was one of the Best beach we've been to. Its so private no tourist at all when we went there so we my Honey and I hada the beach all to ourselves. Since there is no resort/hotel around you can't find a shade to cover when the sun gets to hot so bring a tent if your afraid to burn. All I can say is its worth the travel going to BonBon Beach.
