Rude and unfriendly staff
Oct 2020 • Family
Extremely rude and unfriendly staff - do not even know how to talk to customers and families. Not at all a friendly place for kids due to these unfriendly staff as they think everyone coming is a pro in boating and should be able to steer perfectly all boats on their very places after each ride. I was half way out of my boat when one of the rude staff pushed the boat back in water leaving me almost slipped out of the boat and almost drowned ! Offcourse no words of apologies came out either.

Perfect kayaking experience close to Sydney
Oct 2020 • Family
Bored during the school holidays we decided to take our teenage boys on a kayak trip in the Royal National Park. You hire from the Audley Boat shed who supply life jackets as well. We all chose a single kayak each which I would suggest over the double canoes (unless you have young children). We took a picnic with us which we had at the end of the river. The water isn’t overly deep and very clean and clear. It is best to take out for 2 hours that way you don’t have to rush. The landscape is just beautiful and was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Amazing views

This is one of the best coast scenes we have seen. With the waves and the rocks formations. Do bring comfortable shoes for sure as there is a bit of walking for sure.

Careful you don’t pay the extra government “fee”

A great National Park, with stunning coastal sandstone scenery and coast heath bushland. The visitors centre staff were very helpful too.

While I didn’t get booked by the police for speeding, there were plenty of highway patrol cars on the road. They need more speed limit signs in the park though.

Public Transportation in Bundeena Drive
Aug 2019
Royal National Park is the first national park in Australia. It has beautiful sceneries, especially in the coastal track and its a must-visit place.
We did bushwalking in RNP starting from Bundeena where we took the coastal track to Marley drive and then took the Marley walk to the car park in Bundeena drive. Marley beach to car park walk is a little less signed, but we had some mobile reception here and there and not hard to follow with GPS. Deer pool is in this walk, which is a beautiful place.
As the title of my review suggests, I want to focus my review on public transportation in Bundeena drive. This route has 1 bus that runs from Bundeena to Maianbar to Bundeena in the morning. Google maps and NSW trip planner will show times of the bus. When we took the walk, we planned to catch this bus from car park. However, there was no marked bus stop there, and a local uber driver said that the bus only take school children.
I contacted NSW transport regarding this and they informed me that "The 989 service is a public designated service, and all members of the public are entitled to utilize this service. We do not have Bus Stop signs for this particular route, however, the Drivers are always on the lookout when travelling through these points of interest in the national park. "

Good facilities
Aug 2019 • Family
Our second visit and just as good as the first outing. Plenty of BBQs and picnic areas and a very safe area for the kids to run around. Take lunch and a camera and take advantage of the many walking trails.

Great on a sunny day!
Aug 2019 • Family
Went there for a picnic with kids. If you look well you could find a nice and quiet picnic spot and kids can play safely. Lots of grass and open areas. Great scenery, lots of activities I favour for kayaking. Bring picnic staff for all day.
National parks fee applies. 12$ daily or 65$ annual.

The visitor centre shop has tasteful Australian gifts for sale. Nothing is kitch, it has an interesting collection of items to suit all ages.

Absolutely Spectacular
May 2019 • Family
The Royal National Park was one of my favorite stops while we were in Sydney! While at the visitor center we were greeted by a flock of wild cockatoos! This has to be one of the highlights of my trip to Australia! The park was beautiful as well. We hiked to a waterfall and walked up to a cliff top view to try to see some whales. Everything was just beautiful!

Good start
Mar 2019 • Friends
There is so much to see and do in the Royal National Park. Start by going to the Audley visitor centre for useful advice and to get a permit for A$12 ss well as a guide map and leaflet. Then off for excellent walks and views.
