Catacombs in Jajce are very cute. Male and quite damaged but still really nice to see. The catacomb entry is 2KM. Whoever is claustrophobic should not enter. They are located in the old town, easy to find.

Jajce's small catacombs are a great place to visit. We heard that their hours are irregular but we saw hours posted (I think 9 am- 7pm, or something like that) and they were open at those times. We just missed it in the evening of...More

An interesting place - but rather small: other name (The underground church) better fits, as these are not really great size catacombs as one my find in Rome or Paris

Carved inside the rock itself, this underground Church and crypt represents an interesting place to visit. Though smaller in dimensions, this gem for spiritual, historical and architectural appreciation will leave you with a trace of something truly eerie. Built in between XIV. and XV. century,as...More

It's a bad deal when you build a tomb figuring you and your wife can use it and then you die before it's done so everybody just walks off!

If you don't have much time you can definitely pass the caracomb beacuse there is really not much to see. However if you have plenty of time go ahead. If it's a hot day it will definitely cool you down a bit. Very dark so...More

Super small catacombs, you can view in maybe 5 minutes. There is unfortunately not much too see and it is quite dark. If you are in Jajce anyway, you might visit it, though, there are more interesting places in the city like the waterfalls, watermills...

An ancient historical site, where it has a spiritual touch, since it was a safe refuge for monks during the past centuries, it also had tombs for some monks as well, the place is at least 10 degrees cooler than the outside, give it a...More

If you have visited the catacombs outside Rome or in Turkey, the rather modest example in Jajce will not capture your attention. The only real interest, to us at least, is that it served as the site where Marshall Tito made his clandestine broadcasts to...More

Catacomb of Jajce are a very important historical and archeological sight, with a very old historical roots. You will be amazed how much these catacombs hide within itself, and it shows how far can humans go in order to protect their right to practice religion....More
