Last entry time in morning 11:30. Closed for lunch until 14:30. Didn't have time to wait until it reopened. Man on cash desk gave us an English information leaflet so at least we knew a bit about the site.

While visiting Fontenay (and combining a discount ticket) the forge de buffon is not to be missed. You can walk/cycle from Montbard, or sail your boat up the canal du burgougne or you can drive there like we did.

The forge has been lovingly restored, but they could do so much more with this site. Bit like most tourist attactions in this area. They have so much potential but dont hit the button.
