The place is clean and it's unlike the usual museums where you are not allowed to touch anything, Here, you are invited to explore the displays to know how it works. Because of that, the kids are compelled to read the information about the display so that they will know how it works which is not how they used to act on usual museums where they just look at the display and then on to another.
My only suggestion is to not allow high schoolers to be there with the pre-schoolers. If they will allow that, PLEASE make sure to properly monitor the kids. Two high schoolers were running around and tackled my then 3 years old son to the floor. They laughed and ran away. I couldn't tell which school because they were wearing a plain jacket so I had no way of telling the guards where to look. We had to leave the trip early because my son's head was bleeding. That incident is very traumatizing.

Thank you for visiting The Mind Museum. We are very sorry to hear about your traumatizing experience. Please rest assured that we will not be scheduling any large field trips of older kids with those of younger ones.
We deeply regret your son's injury. We encourage you to immediately report incidences like this to us. You can always approach any of our visitor service staff at the lobby, or one of our guards at the galleries. All our staff is happy and prepared to assist. We have a clinic and a medic on duty. Everyone's safety is of utmost importance. We treat cases such as yours very seriously.
We are saddened that you left without treatment for your son's injury, nor allowed us to investigate the school group in question. Horseplay is not allowed in the museum. We do not tolerate it. We will remind our staff to be more vigilant to prevent further instances such as this.
Please accept again our apologies for your unfortunate visit. We wish you and your son well.

My kids had a wonderful time going around all the exhibits getting hands on with buttons and levers and learning about science at the same time. I was a little concerned my 2 year old may be too little to enjoy but he is still talking about it. He particularly enjoyed the dinosaur bones and the piano stairncase. The museum is packed with things to do but there were no queues and the people flowed. Maintenance is surprisingly good and only one or two things not working which is rare for manila. My 8 year old learned a lot and wants to go back soon. Neither of the kids wanted to leave even after two hours which is a really good sign!

Brought my five-year-old here in Feb 2020. Was expecting better, to be honest. It’s decent and will be good if you’ve never been to this type of place before, but if you’ve been to other science centers in the developed world, this one won’t match by comparison. Biggest issue was about half of the interactive exhibits were broken when we visited. May have been better a few years ago but it appears that maintenance is slipping. Signage in some areas could also be improved to be more engaging. My kid liked it, though would be better at an older age, maybe from 7 or 8 onwards, as many of the exhibits need a lot of reading and are not aimed to engage young kids.

Thank you for visiting The Mind Museum. While we are happy that you enjoyed, we understand that it could have been better.
We appreciate your feedback and rest assured that we are doing our best to upkeep the interactive exhibits as fast as possible. As hundreds of children visit us on a regular basis, we apologize that we sometimes fall short.
We are also regularly enhancing and creating new exhibits and programs. Recently we opened our latest exhibit called Playtales on the second floor. It is specifically designed for younger minds, ages 2-years-old - 6-years-old. Here they can have fun learning about themselves, the people around them and the wider world. Hope to see you again soon!

the visit involves lots of reading (a plus!), it is divided into 5 "galleries", each with its own theme. There is a giant model of a human brain, a periodic table with boxes for the 'elements' (aluminium can in Al, etc, no radioactive ones though haha).
The playground just outside has human-sized soap bubbles, moebius slide, binculars with bird or shark vision and other fun stuff.
Recommended for kids and adults alike!

I was looking forward to the opening of the new Mind Museum in Fort Bonifacio and took a visiting French friend the week after the museum opened its doors. The building itself, designed by local architect Lor Calma, is very interesting and the location is good in the quickly developing Bonifacio Global City. I'm not too sure what I was expecting but the Mind Museum didn't seem to have a great deal to do with the human mind. The four major display areas are relatively small and the displays all seem quite superficial- I think I was expecting more depth and more information about the workings of the human mind. The exhibits are largely 'hands-on' but unfortunately just two weeks after the museum's official opening probably a third of the exhibits were already broken and unusable. Visitors are given a 3 hour time slot to visit the museum but we took only one hour to visit all the exhibits in the museum. I'm not too sure how anyone could spend 3 hours in the Mind Museum!
A few other complaints. The museum entry fee (600 pesos for adults) is relatively steep considering the limited number of displays and limited interest of the museum. I am a teacher so my entry fee was only 150 pesos which is quite reasonable. There is no cloakroom facility which means that it is necessary to carry around bags etc. while visiting the museum, which is not very practical. The gift shop was of limited interest and the only catering facility in the museum seems to be a rather tasteless looking cafe on the first floor, accessible only if you are already in the museum. Luckily, in true Filipino style, there is a Jollibee just across from the entrance to the museum and the restaurants of Burgos Circle are literally a two minute walk away.
All in all, a very disappointing visit to The Mind Museum. My visiting French friend was also rather unimpressed as she had visited other Mind Museums in Europe, notably the Cite des Sciences in Paris, which is much more extensive and has many more interesting exhibits. I guess the Mind Museum in BGC will appeal to young kids because of the 'hands-on' exhibits but most adults who are expecting to learn something from a visit to the museum will probably leave feeling rather disappointed.

Maybe we expected too much. But it was billed in advertisements and write ups to be the only world-class museum in the Philippines so our expectations were really high.
We were very disappointed and could only ask "Is this it? when we were done. Some of the exhibits were broken and there was no visible effort to fix them. Most of the staff were sour-faced, as if they were so fed up working there. There was no enthusiasm that could have rubbed off on us - they were just there, maybe just counting the minutes until they could clock off.
There was no joy in that place - no sounds of laughter or wonder that lingered. We felt we paid too much just to feel so so.
We went to the small, sad canteen - only to find a sorry selection of snacks that was way over-priced for the quality and taste they were in. And it was the same in the over-priced souvenir shop. No wonder there were very few people in the shop, even less those spending money on the items on display. The same snooty, unfriendly staff, though.
There are smaller museums that do not lay to such high claims but are more worthy of a visit - at less price!

I attended the launch of this ambitious project way back in 2008, where plans and blueprints were presented to an invited group of people from the business and IT industry and the academe. For a moment, the proposed world class science museum excited me but I forgot all about it. Time flies truly fast and I cant believe that was 4 years ago. And now, finally, The Mind Museum of Taguig officially opened its doors to the public on March 16, 2012. My hubby and I visited Manila's only state-of-the-art museum and newest attraction two days later.
The Mind Museum has 5 galleries. The first level has The Atom Gallery, The Universe Gallery, The Earth Gallery and the Life Gallery. The 2nd level has the Technology Gallery. Before entering the main exhibit area, visitors are gathered infront of a robot named Aedi (that's idea spelled backwards) for a brief welcome message. After that, visitors are on their own to explore all science exhibits, which is about 90% completed.
The Atom Gallery has the most number of interactive exhibits: see how sound waves move at different pitch in Frequencies, move a metal ring from one end of an arched metal pole to another by using magnetic field in the Electric Table, watch how gravity works in a centripetal force of the Whirlpool, watch Newton's Third Law of Motion at work, and the most popular Static Ball which makes your hair stand on its end.
The Universe Gallery, which is on the mezzanine level, features exhibits on outer space. It shows a lifetime of a star, the phases of the moon. It also has the Space Shell which looks like a black igloo but actually is a mini-planterium where visitors lay on the floor to simulate "laying on ground as you stare at the night sky" and watch a 20-min film about the universe. This particular spaceshell has a lot to improve on: the projector needs to be relocated to the center perhaps so that images does not get distorted (earth looked more like a dino egg). And the aircon was blowing cold air on everyone's heads and backs. This Space Shell is far from being an attraction.
The Earth Gallery features the first T-Rex exhibit in the Philippines and other exhibits about our planet and nature, all from way back billion years ago. It has a diorama showing the different layers of the earth's crust and also illustrating the two mass extinctions that have occurred over earth's history. It also has interacfive exhibits: watch how a tornado forms by repeatedly passing your hand over a sensor in Air , see how volcanoes erupt, watch a live feed display of the earth's current state on a Floating Globe.
The Life Gallery features everything that will give us an understanding of life - from DNA to a giant model of the human brain, which is one of the largest exhibits in the entire museum. This exhibit makes use of multi-media interactive programs to help visitors learn more about DNA, cells, anatomy of the human body.
From the lower level, visitors take the escalator, which is called Avenue of Life, to get to second level which has the Technology Gallery, the largest of the 5 galleries. This is where we humans show how we are evolving with the tools we invent and innovate. A lot of interactive displays that stimulates interest and curiosity amongst kids and adults alike. It even has a mini arcade.
The Mind Museum is just part of a planned "Science in the Park" eco-friendly facility in the country 100% funded by donations from corporations and individuals. I look forward to the completion of its adjacent outdoor theme park which will be up in another 2 years. In the meantime, The Mind Museum alone is a must see for ages 3-99. I shall visit it again in a few months to check on any exhibits added.
Tips:
1. Unless you buy the One Day Pass, visitors are given 3 hours to explore all galleries. I recommend you purchase tickets online so you get to select preferred time block in advance and plan your visit accordingly. Arrive at the gate at least 15 mins prior to chosen time. Dont be late so you get to maximize the 3 hours learning. The guards will ask you (politely) to exit the galleries before the next batch is allowed to enter.
2. There would be staff, called Mind Movers, in every gallery you visit, to answer questions or explain an exhibit in detail. They are very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining science to little kids.
3. To really appreciate the effect of the phosphorescent wall inside the Shadow Box at the Atom Gallery, stand close to it when striking a pose for the flash. This will leave a more visible shadow after.
4. Cameras are allowed. Food, drinks and pets are prohibited.

A friend was able to secure one ticket (a wrist strap) so I could see the Van Gogh Alive multi sensory exhibition sponsored by the Mind Museum. These shows were sold out online. The show also was housed outside the museum so keep that in mind.
If you go then I recommend heading directly to the media room and leave the reading to after the show. That will help you get one of the benches or a seat on the floor in the middle of all the screens.
The show runs continuously so even if you’re late to the show then you’ll eventually catchup with the different themes presented. The show was enjoyable to watch as it traced Van Gogh’s career, works of art as he moved through France. Thousands of images were presented to a musical score.
In the lobby, artworks and Van Goh’s state of mind were explained through numerous placards. There was also a re-creation of his bedroom where people were able to take group photos or selfies.

Went to the Mind Museum with coworkers and a charity /foundation we partner with. We had 25 kids aged 7 to 12 with us.
Overall the place was okay. There are no guided tours as the museum encourages people to explore the place on their own at their own pace which is fine. However, the kids were running from one activity/display to another so fast we "covered" almost everything in just under 2 hours. It would be good, if you are bringing older kids, to meet up at a spot after a couple of hours so they can explore the place on their own. Otherwise, youll find yourself chasing the kids around the museum which will be tiring!
Some of the display items didnt seem to be maintained properly. There are a few shows to check out, the 3D one and one about space (at a mini mini cinema called Space Shell). The latter was okay, but the kids seemed a bit bored by it.
People of all ages will enjoy the museum but it is really best for people above 10 years old. It's not as big as I imagined but if you take your time with the various sections, you'll be able to maximize your 3-hour or 1day slot.
There's an outdoor playground that kids would love. It's a shame it was raining when we went so it was closed.
For food, there are two places to go onsite: Jolibee and Kyle's Lab. We ordered packed lunch boxes for everyone from Kyle's Lab, but the food, unfortunately was disappointing. The pork was undercooked and the veggies were not popular either (the kids thought so too).
There's a small gift shop if you want to buy any souvenirs. No parking available in the museum. But there are several parking lots next to the museum (about P45 for the first 3 hours).
