Chateau de Santenay is one of the largest wine-producing estates in Burgundy. This prestigious property, consisting of the Chateau with its remarkable glazed tile roof and a 98 hectare vineyard, is the fruit of an ancient heritage intimately linked to the history of wine production in Burgundy. With 98 hectares of vines in various plots on the Cote d'Or and the Cote Chalonnaise, Chateau de Santenay is one of the largest properties in Grande Bourgogne. Faithful to the Burgundy traditions of hospitality, we welcome visitors for tastings in the cellar and we opened the property for meetings, seminars and private functions.

This was the 2nd visit to the Chateau, remembering from the previous year that they often provide wine tasting in a beautiful setting with live music. We had a lazy few hours in the sun, listening to a jazz type band whilst sampling some excellent...More

We stopped for a wine tasting & tour during our biking/wine excursion and it was a fun visit. You can tell that the owners have invested a lot into the entire facility as well as the equipment - even the forklifts looked brand new lol...More

The chateau was our first stop along the Route des Grand Crus (a southern beginning). We were attracted to the chateau and its grand, multi-colored and patterned roof. The chateau offers tours and a tasting of wines coming from its considerable holdings around the chateau...More

Guided tour of the caves (winery). An hour long tour in English with a brief history of the chateau followed by a tasting. Friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious. She made us feel like we were getting a special visit. Also the wines were excellent.

Nice property, easy to see from a distance, forms a real center of the town. At the time of my visit, quite busy with both tourists and a wedding party. Outstanding wines (both quality & value for money). BTW, being in the heart of Burgundy...More

There are plenty of places to taste wine in Burgundy, but most wine-growers won't give you a thank-you for spending a couple of hours of their time before you leave empty-handed. The Chateau de Santenay is a major vineyard owner in Burgundy, and it's located...More
