After arriving by train we were able to wander the station. Needs a bit more information on the engines on display. Many of them from Germany, some UK. Look for the turning table for the engines, worked by hand!

Our cruise ship group were booked for the steam train trip from Tun Tang Station to the museum at Ambarawa so we spent time in two old stations and had the absolute joy of steaming along behind a grand old engine across the paddy fields....More

In the weekends/holidays, usually the tickets would be already sold at 10.00am. For all trip within the day. Be there at 08.00am, buy the tickets, enjoy the museum, enjoy the trips. I have already seen many sad families which came from a far place, couldn’t...More

If you like trains and especially locomotives then you should bring this museum a visit when you are in Semarang. There is a nice collection of these locs especially the old models. But there are a few real ones too. You can climb on them...More
