Well worth following this walk and take in some the scenic charm and delight of Dalgety. Do take a camera! Also try it on a clear night and see the starts reflected in the crystal clear water of the river!

Had a great time on the walk around Dalgety and along the Snowy River. It is a beautiful place with lots of character. Worth the detour off the main road to experience the landscape.

Lovely scenic area with plenty of photo opportunities. Friendly community & popular stop for visitors. Hope to return in winter to see the town & area transformed into a snowy wonderland.

Visited the town of Dalgety for a whole weekend, experiencing the surroundings and the 2018 Dalgety Show. Definitely worth a trip to experience the beautiful countryside and river. If you can, don't forget to stay overnight at the local hotel. Great meals and great to...More

Using the brochure of the town and river walk, became a very interesting and informative time about the development of the town and some very special buildings in the town.

Too hot to walk town so we drove and stopped at a few sights. Kids loved the old buildings and gardens. Favourite was the old church on the hill. Beautiful view and perfect windy and shady spot on a hot day!

This was a gorgeous walk with interesting and historic sites that can finish either at the delightful Iona nursery/cafe for tea and home made cakes amongst the birds and flowers - or at the local pub for a home style meal and a quiet beverage...More

Dalgety was a great experience to see and experience and old country village. Though you can't access any buildings we collected the map from the Iona cafe and wandered the streets. The public school has a great playground for a stop off for the kids...More
