The walk up to these ruins is short and once up the top there are great views of the surrounding countryside, even as far as the Czech Republic. There are not too many visitors so it is quiet, and I even heard of a few...More

This was the first ruins we went to when we moved to Germany and they are still (almost 1 year later) probably one of my most favorite; if not my favorite! They are absolutely free to get into to and you can explore them at...More

We spent a wonderful afternoon exploring these ruins. They really are beautiful and it is a nice walk up to them. I just wish that we would have packed a picnic to enjoy the scenery while we ate!

This is really more of a short walk than a hike with a few sets of steep stairs at the end. But the views from the top are quite breathtaking and well worth the effort. As mentioned by previous reviewers, signage is only in German....More

Beautiful walk up the ruins. Walk through them and climb up to amazing views. Also down the street is the concentration camp.

The castle is easy to find and fun. There are plenty of places to explore, places for a nice picnic and lots of scenery!

We climbed the stairs to the very top of the ruins for some amazing views! It's quite steep but very well worth the small hike up!

Burg Flossenburg is the first burgruine I had ever visited, and a year later (with 20, or so, more under my belt) it is still my favorite! Burg Flossenburg is not very big, nor popular, but it is a real treasure to wander around! Tons...More
