Wondered for some time what age to bring my teen to a concentration camp. As it turns out she was better able to cope than I was. I think this is a better one to go to with tens than the more famous counterparts -...More

Over 30,000 people died at Flossenburg and it is a sombre reminder of the horrors of war. It is not as large in area as some other concentration camps, but still you get a real sense of the suffering that took place there. The camp...More

We visited on a Saturday morning and the museum was quiet. This is located about 45 mins from our home near Vilseck. It's quite easy to find and navigating here should not be a deterrent to visit. The museum is well-done and informative. I was...More

We visited the Memorial on a Sunday morning. There is a lot of walking involved but it was well worth it. Bring cash for Museum cafe!

There is not much left anymore from the original camp. Only some watch towers, the commanders office, laundry etcetera. The quarry is some 3 miles away from the camp. The museum is excellent with a lot of information about the wrong doings during World War...More
