Sringeri itself is an historical place leaving us with impressions of Adi Shankaracharya and synonymous with Saradha Peetam.in the heart of Western Ghats this shrine is an ancients Siva Temple which has lot of prominence.

The is the main and the old temple of singeri.afternoon pujai is so device and so don't miss out this.food offered by the temple as prasadam to the devotees,but way of offering can be improved.

The shrine hosts an ancient sanctum of Lord Shiva in the form of Vidyasankara. The Vidyasankara premises hosts beautiful sculptures around its premises - depicting the various avatars of Lord Vishnu. One can also see the stone rings - a marvel!

My interest in old architecture is amaturish. Due to the intracicies of sculputre, one may mistake this as a Hoysala period temple. I am sure it is not so. Perhaps it belongs to Kalyana Chalukya period, who also developed intricate style of sculpture and architecture....More

This temple is part of the Sringeri Mutt and is very old. This is beside the Sharadamba temple. The architecture of the temple is beautiful . Please see all sided of the temple and I am sure you will appreciate it for its sheer beauty.

Vidyashankara temple is a good place to visit in sum seasons, not a problem in all season but in summer season that place is very hot.

There is a secret area in this temple where you will find money. My friend who has he in Sringeri stole me that when they were small kids they used to take money from that place like 10s, 20s and sometimes in 100s. Thee interior...More
