We decided to visit this shrine and church on a whim with family from the Philippines, its outdoors with several statues and shrines. There is a church and holy water fountain and a place to light candles and pray. Overall its a nice outing with the family to see a more traditional filipino cultural location. If uou are ever in the area its worth a visit!!!

Getting here in a van can be easy, food and parking are available though a lot of people are here visiting in a busy day like Good Friday, being with family is still easy and finding the shrine is not so difficult because it is so easy to follow the road up ahead. Santo Tomas Batangas is welcoming.

We recently visited this shrine as part of our "visita iglesia." The compound is huge, with two chapels, some relics chapels, a place for Via Crucis, a souvenir shop, etc. There's a lot of parking slots if you're bringing your own vehicle. While the chapels were simple ... clearly built not to impress tourists, but to accommodate thousands of the Saint's devotees who flock to the place (especially to attend healing Masses) ... there's this impressive sanctuary where some relics of St. Padre Pio are on display. It's well organized, clean and beautiful. Don't fail to see it when you visit the place.

4th time to visit the shrine. Never failed to praise and thank God thru Padre Pio. This time it was more organized and safety protocols were implemented. Devotees are reminded to maintain social distancing, wearing of mask and face shield is a must, temperature check was done prior to entering the shrine. May God bless and protect us all. Padre Pio, pray for us.

From the main highway one has to negotiate a narrow street ( two-way but with cars parked on one or both sides, driving is quite a challenge) to reach the shrine. A paid parking area that is dusty on a hot day and probably muddy during rainy days is available near the shrine with eateries and souvenir shops surrounding the area. A short walk will lead you to the shrine where you can pray, reflect and offer your intentions. Masses are held regularly at the church. The shrine is an attraction in itself for devotees and believers.
