Semi rural series of connected paths which are maintained of sorts by the councils whose boundaries they lie in. Great for easy dog walking. Ruislip Woods within easy access

well worth a try particularly in the summer months other times of the year u may find it a bit too muddy, I have tried it from opposite Tescos in West Drayton, following the river Pinn, eventually passing through Brunel University then into the old RAF camp picking up the river Pinn once more so a good and varied walk.

The Celandine Route follows the route of the River Pinn, it is a 12 mile walk with the option of getting the Metropolitan line between Pinner and Uxbridge. The River Pinn is a little brook and is not visible for much of the route. Even so this is a pleasant walk through semi rural scenery as the route connects a series of meadows, open spaces, golf courses etc. Make sure you download the maps and directions from the Hillingdon website instead of relying on the signs, if you do this it's very easy to follow the trail.

We have often walked along the Celandine route from Eastcote to Uxbridge but our favourite section of the route is from near Ruislip Library to Eastcote House along the playing fields. This is usually our Sunday morning walk route come rain or shine. It is brilliant in sunshine but can be very muddy during rainy periods. We often drop off half way at the Kings Café for refreshments and to enjoy its views over the playing fields and running track.
