Overview
More
The island to the northeast of Singapore is the only place to see an example of the traditional kampong villages that once covered the city-state. It’s a go-to spot for cyclists and hikers with miles of nature trails that weave through old rubber plantations and seaside ecosystems no longer found on the main island. Get there from Changi Point Ferry Terminal via a traditional bumboat for $2.50 a seat – captains will leave only when all seats are sold or if you pay the difference.

Visited Pulau Ubin for a day after long time. Enjoyed the natural beauty. Great place to see how the life is in Kampongs. There are about 30 residents in Pulau Ubin who love to live there and are happy with simple living! We had family...More

Pulau Ubin is an island located off Singapore close to the Changi International Airport. Sometimes, it's seen as an island coveted with forest canopy during the last few minutes of landing an aircraft. This is a beautiful aerial view that also lets one get a...More

After many trips to Singapore, I finally made it Pulau Ubin. We did not rent bikes, opting to "hike" or rather walk on the roadways to Chek Jawa and Butterfly Hill and paths of the Sensory Trail, etc. We were able to see much wildlife...More

Good place to get away from the high rise world. Enjoy nature either on a bike or hiking. If one goes eastward from the jetty there is the Chek Jawa Wetlands to explore. For bikers there is the Ketam Mountain Bike Park in the west...More

We love to come here for cycling and eating. You can easily rent a bicycle in this place as there are many shops here. Or, you may also bring your own bicycle and get some help from the shop if needed. If I’m not wrong,...More

We caught the train and bus to get to the ferry terminal and then the ferry across. So far so good. There are many bicycle hire places right near the the jetty. The bikes are not maintained. I doubt they ever get oiled. We managed...More

This is a nice place to visit if you want to see a calmer side of busy and commercial Singapore. There is a nice 15 minute boat trip to get there. Board next to Changi Village (which you can reach from Tampines West MRT station,...More

We followed the advice from the posts on Trip Adviser and it was very straight forward and easy. We opted for the $8 taxi ride from Pasar Riss MRT to the Changi wharf. The setting is quaint and reminiscent of many parts of Asia 50...More

The paths were gravel and unmade, not smooth tarmac, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to skate on
