The ultimate Beach/Bar hang out. We were at The Yellow Beach. The pizza was good. Pina Coladas even better. Beach was great. Also hiked around the island. Its worth the 10 minute boat ride

Pinel Island was a fun part of our vacation. We took the ferry over and then walked over the hill following an easy to see path, about 10-15 minutes to the other undeveloped side of the island away from the restaurants and family swimming area. The other side is very open to the elements (Sun and wind) so you have to bring some shade, water, and some snacks. The remote side was a little rough to swim and it was difficult to enter the water due to waves and rocks. Not the best for swimming as it can be rough. We did go nude on this side and there were several couples and a family with teen aged kids as well all enjoying no clothing sunbathing and beach fun. Please if you think your kids or spouse will self combust and be damaged for life if they see people nude dont take the hike over the island to the undeveloped side. If you are good with people in their skin and you want to join in it was a good time and worth the trip over... The side you arrive at on the ferry has two restaurants, both very good, bathrooms, shade, chairs to rent, and a nice calm flat bay to swim in. Great for families with kids, no nudity is allowed here and its a great time for all!

We went to pinel island for beach and snorkeling. First, the ferry. Trash everywhere. In the water and land, broken parts on piers. Employees rude. They were eating lunch on pier and completely ignoring everyone that came up. Finally walked up and had to interrupt them because they wouldn’t acknowledge me. Poor customer service. Second, the island. Beautiful water and beach. The left side of the beach, facing the water was the “nude” side. 2 restaurants both pretty expensive. Pina coladas were very good. They have lobsters in cages in the surf that you can pick and they cook them for $40/lb. They do take credit cards at restaurants/bars. Bartender was great. Overall a good trip and would go again. We enjoyed our trip to the island

A beautiful island to explore!! We kayaked over. It was about a 20 minute trip for fit adults. We experienced some strong winds and currents. Nothing crazy!Make a reservation. We saw people turned away! CaribbeanPaddling.com We hiked to the other side of the island. It was a short hike but there are some rocky areas. I was glad to have strap on shoes. Beautiful desolate beach! There is a little more hiking you can do… but our drinks were waiting! 😉 We reserved beach chairs through Karibuni. Great spot! Drink service to the chairs. We made a reservation at Karibuni for lunch. It was delicious!! I picked my lobster out of the trap! And then back to the chairs! There are TONS of hermit crabs on the island. Find a speedy guy and have a race!! (My guy won!) There’s a little shop with nice items. Not tacky souvenirs! We stayed all day! 😎

Absolutely gorgeous and worth the trip. We rented kayaks from Caribbean Paddling to get to the island - about 20 min there and 15 min back. We were able to see some sea turtles on the way and stopped at Little Key and a sandbar - both worth the stops! We rented chairs and had lunch and drinks from Yellow Beach - food, drinks, service was amazing. It was crowded, but we expected that. We ventured over to the North side of the island which was pristine and untouched. The water was choppy and rough, but the snorkeling was much better. Our favorite part of our trip, so far!

Pinel Islet is a delightful escape just five minutes' boat ride from the shore near Mont Vernon in St. Martin. There are two beach clubs there - we landed at the Yellow Beach club and had a delightful time with attentive service from the beach boys taking care of us, for both of our visits. There's lovely water and excellent drinks to enjoy, a beautiful view, and very good food as well! If you want to take a little hike to the back end of the island you can find the 'secret beach' that is there with clothing-optional swimming.

I’m glad we checked out Pinel Island. It reminded me of a cruise ship island but on a smaller scale. The ferry was quick and pretty easy. We did have to stand in the sun for 30 minutes waiting for a return ferry at 3:00 PM. Some sort of sun shelter would make it a lot more user friendly. It was very hot. The 2 restaurants seemed good. We ate at Yellow Beach. The food and service were fine. Make a reservation ahead of time. The water seemed calmer on the Yellow Beach side but neither beach was very tough. It’s a scenic spot with lots to look at. We won’t go again but it was a pleasant day.

The views were amazing and the water was calm. Enjoyed drink service to our beach loungers and lunch was exceptional! Kayaks were a fun experience. Met a lot of friendly people and had a great day with family!

This is one of the neat experiences on St Martin. There is a ferry that runs regularly to the island which cost $12 round trip. There are two restaurants on the island with beach chairs and also covered seating. This is popular so it is best to make a reservation in advance for both chairs and dining. Beside the beach area which is where the ferry stops, you can hike up the hill to explore the small island and visit a couple deserted beaches.

Panel island is a must visit place in St Martin. It is a short 5 minute ferry ride, cost of $12 round trip. Ferry runs back and forth so you can come and leave when you want. This is a completely different feel from the other beaches. The water is very calm so great for kids of anyone who’s afraid of the waves. The only downside to that is it stays shallow way out so you can’t really get in deep and float. There are 2 full service restaurants with bars. Both are great and both will rent you 2 chairs with umbrellas for $25. Hike to the other side which is a natural preserve although a bit rocky. Have s wonderful day!
