A short distance from the village of Stainforth and over a beautiful set of stepping stones followed by a steady walk lies Catrigg Force - a beautiful setting and grey wagtails to keep us company

Lovely hidden waterfall. Off the beaten track and if you include it as part if the 2mile circular Stainforth walk then it's a lovely treat at the end.

Really impressive waterfall Great volume of water with a decent drop. Also needs abit of walking, which keeps a lot of punters away. Definitely worth a visit.

We parked up in Stainforth and walked to Catrigg Force and were so pleased we did! The route is a quite steep stone walkway so sturdy footwear helps a lot. You will not be disappointed - stunning views and a lovely peaceful spot!

To see the falls at their most impressive visit when there has been heavy rain. worth the walk up from Stainforth. You can make a good circular walk linking Langcliffe, Stainforth Force and Catrigg.
