- Catherine CIsland Garden City of Samal, Philippines2 contributionsGreat place for bonding with friendsI recommend this resort for families and friends, and it is very affordable and has very accommodating and friendly staff. I love the place because it was so relaxing, and their sand is white and the clear sea is beautiful. This place is good for bonding with friends, especially family.Visited March 2023Traveled with friendsWritten November 12, 2023
- Villa Talisay KaputianKaputian Beach, Philippines77 contributionsRelaxing stay in spectacular locationFantastic views , ocean , volcano , sunrise , sunset , stars at night on the roof , magnificent landscapes . We used the barbecue in the garden for lunch , rented the crystal kayak for some swimsuit selfies and had a videoke in the evening : the perfect day ! The Dormitory with A/C and blackout curtains was very comfortable . A great stay !Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 4, 2024
- Mark IHounslow, United Kingdom192 contributionsOk but only if you are nearbyIf you’re in the area do give this beach a visit. It is good value @ 100 pesos per person, a lifeguard is on duty, and there are buoys which segregate an area which is good for kids and inexperienced swimmers. We were staying at a resort in Samal, and to be honest apart from the better views the resort beach was cleaner and had more amenities. If you go do not try to go beach combing- every metre had about three bits of plastic trash, a lot of plastic bottle tops, packaging, etcVisited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 13, 2024

One of the cheapest beach resort in samal island since its gov. resort, one thing i like this resort is very accomodating and friendly staffs they always maintained to clean the surroundings and the life guard always watch out to those people who do swimming or near the water specially the kids. We always come here with family and friends to relax and enjoy feel the ocean breeze. The service they gave is very good for me ✔️it's really recommended beach resort in Samal Island.

You can get to the resort from Sasa Wharf, Ride a ferry for 10 pesos and the ferry will dock at Babak Ferry terminal, Ride a habal to Kaputian beach and you can enjoy their fine sand beach for an entrance fee of 25 pesos. Yes, and just rent a cottage and youre good to go.

Kaputian beach, Samal Island is accessed from the road running parallel to it via a turnstile where a small admission fee is payable. It is possible to rent beach huts, which are in fairly good condition, not far from the water's edge. The beach is beautiful white sand, which is great for sunbathing and having fun. But beware, the beach slopes very steeply into the sea, which might not be good for inexperienced swimmers. But the water is very refreshing and clean,

Samal Island is just an hour away from downtown Davao City and you have 2 options to go there. One is by boat which is via Sta. Ana Port (takes 50 mins) which will take you directly to Kaputian port. 2nd is via Sasa Wharf which will take 10-15 mins and you still need to ride a bus to Kaputian. Whichever route you'll take it will not cost more 80PhP to get there.
Kaputian Beach Park, is a local government owned beach park so you can expect that it's not well maintained and most of the overnight cottages are old and bare.
They have 2 air-conditioned overnight cottages and the rest are fan rooms. They also have open cottages on the beach front.
I have been here a couple of times and this a nice destination if you're budget conscious.
The shore line has powdery white sand and the water is clean. I like swimming there around 10am-1pm then 4-6pm as the water is calm at those times. When we're not swimming we're island hopping.
This place is always a must when im in Davao.

Beach is average in quality and serves as a starting point of island hopping tours. I saw a few youngsters bringing several starfish into the shower stalls. Maybe they should prohibit visitors from disturbing the wildlife in order to protect the ecosystem?

Went there with my parents. Took the habalhabal from Samal Island proper. Beach was clean. White, fine sand. There was an entrance of 15pesos. We went there on a weekday afternoon so there wasn't much of a crowd. Must visit. Would love to have spent the night there but we were checked in somewhere else. We just dropped by this resort to take photos on their shoreline as it has "I <3 SAMAL" and very scenic place to capture great moments with friends! It appears clean and a great place to stay for family and friends.

Clean. well-maintained. Cheap entrance fee. Very nice shore line. Its fine, powdery sand really represents its name "Kaputian" which means "whiteness" or "white".

The beach has "semi white sand". Nothing really special aside from that. It has a lot of dead corals and trash. If the government and community will help hand in hand to make this place better it can really compete to the other beaches in the Philippines.
