"The resort is a bit isolated, so there is not much to do in the immediate area."
"The rooms are not very soundproof, so you can hear noise from other guests."
"The resort is a bit pricey, especially during peak season."
Overall, Alorro Beach Resort is a great option for a relaxing beach vacation. It is a small resort with a friendly staff and a beautiful beach. However, it is important to note that the resort is a bit isolated and can be pricey, especially during peak season.

Ang hirap ng daanan to get there. The sand is amazingly white. We enjoy swimming in blue water with my high school friends. The view is so relaxing , but the space in the beachline is so limited.

We have visited the place it was very magnificent. It's as if I was visiting another country. It was simple hope it'll be more develop. The sea, and the area deeper is the best part. My cousins always come back because of its waves and the deepness of the area at the sea. It got a nice view with lots of boats early in the morning. They even have fresh catch of fishes that we bought for lunch. Me and my cousins are collecting weathered stones from glasses that comes in different forms and shapes. The beach seems like a place for turtles for lying out eggs. It was magnificent. It's really the deep water that excites them once it was shallow but later it will go deep again. Alorro is the wowest factor for me when it comes to its location in water out of the beaches here in Samal Island. Safety first when swimming.😊

We spent the afternoon at Alorro Beach with an easy access to the water. The area out from the beach is shallow and perfect for beginner swimmers. Further out you will see coral and fish. There are some cheap boat rides. There are some places to dress/shower and sit to eat.

THE BEACH ****
it was a WOW 😍 when we arrived. Crystal clear turquoise water that reefs can be identified meters from the shoreline.. On both ends are rock formations for your cliff diving skills. But when high tide was about to come, sea trash (dead trunks/branches, twigs, leaves, coco husks WITH PLASTIC TRASH) started to show up and being swept on the shoreline. Yellowish bubbles accompanied the trash too that made the people enjoying the beach to quickly go out of the water. What made us disappointed was that there was nobody from the resort (even on the adjacent resort) cleaned/collected the floating and shoreline garbage. Our group picked some of those bec it was very unsightly.

ACCOMMODATION money's worth ***
Rooms/closed cottages are native amakan cottages with an electric fan and a little patio.
Some rooms have beds, ours had a queen sized sofabed. Sofa-bed in our room was VERY DIRTY, literally. Bedding was not fitted so we requested for a replacement. GLAD that they immediately acted but staff said that there was no available linen for our bed's size so i requested to line the bed with two linens instead so that the whole bed would be covered. Linens showed over usage but smelled laundered. Blanket was very thin. Fan was dirty. Its speed 3 was like speed 1.

FOOD money's worth ***
I've read reviews that food is pricey and so are stuffs sold in their corner (sarisari) store.yes it is, but i totally understand why. It is because of the high cost of transportation for those goods to reach their ( far & secluded ) place. We had a native chicken adobo cooked by their kitchen staff and it tastes REALLY GOOD.

TOILET/BATHROOMS ***
most of their rooms don't have toilets but their public toilets were FAIR. There are 2 women's cubicles for CR (toilet) and another 2 as bathrooms, so are for men. Water supply was good and floors/walls were tiled. No doorlocks. Foul smell on the water tank area beside the toilet bldg.

SURROUNDINGS **
staff started cleaning at about 5pm when daytour guests were out of the resort. They cleaned the crs and washing area. But during daytime, no one was cleaning the mess around. Garbage bags were visible, so guests should have thrown trash properly. Large flies were abundant everywhere. I saw a bunch of these pests alongside the cr. Stray dogs around. Petdogs are also allowed. Lot of dried/ decaying leaves on the resort's perimeter.

RESERVATION **
online reservation is available through their facebook page, requiring guests to pay half of the room rate via bnk deposit, at least 3 days prior to arrival. The page has a detailed chronological procedure for room reservations.

Since our group decided a night before, we took the risk to visit the place without advance booking, and we're glad bec the room we desired was available...for a few minutes! 😆 the group next to us had booked via online the room we liked. So we were transferred to another room and had to wait for 1pm to check in.. And alas! We were informed after an hour that our "2nd" room was unavailable! 😆😆 accordingly, the guests who booked online for this room had arrived! Tsk tsk tsk MANAGEMENT? 🙄and so while waiting for another room availability, there was another guest who COMPLAINED because her booking was not listed by the resort, and it was already given to walk in guests who arrived earlier. The staff reasoned that they were not informed by "madam" of the online reservations for that day. Poor staff, they had to face the anger of the disappointed guests.

THE ROAD GOING THERE *
the beach is really far. But it would have been okay if the road is fine. But it isn't, really! Rough see-saw up-and-down yoyo limestone roads! Pity for the sedan cars 😭 maybe going there on a 4x4 jeep would be a lot of fun! 👍

SO, if you don't mind of resort surroundings and standard comfort, this place is GOOD. their BEACH is a 🌟.. But if you're the other way around, there are a lot of affordable and accessible resorts in Samal Island that can cater your expectations. 😊

1. Location is too far, will cost you P1000 per trip, not worth it. No signal, their piso wifi is a scam. Timer is not accurate.

2. We stayed at The Cheril Alorro Hostel and I rate it 2/10. They only offered two thin blankets and one towel despite the fact that we were a group of seven. According to their Facebook post, they supply essentials that they did not provide.

3. My beauty blender is thicker than their extra futon.

4. Water pressure is too low.

5. We couldn't use the common kitchen because the people next door were using it the entire time. Nagluto ata sila ng pating kaya sinolo na nila hanggang kinabukasan. For fairly usage, management should enforce a time limit per door.

6. At the very least, this hostel should provide a free heater for coffee. Speaking of coffee, even if there is a heater, we will be unable to prepare it because they only provided one mug, one [shot]glass, five plastic plates, and five spoons. According to their Facebook posts, there are 4 chairs outside, voila there were only 2 chairs.

7. It was really hard to get a hold of their caretaker. She can only be contacted through messenger, but there is no signal on the island. We tried telling the front desk about our concerns but all they said was, “Di kami ang nagmamanage nyan.” Edi wow kayo. Sana man lang tinulungan nyo kami hanapin kung sino man nagmamanage. Pakawalang kwenta nyong lahat!

8. Too many flies. The garbage bins were just across the door.

9. We ordered adobong manok, sinigang tuna and kinilaw na tuna from the reception area. Adobong manok is excessively salty. Sinigang na tuna tasted nothing like sinigang. It had ginger in it, so maybe the cook mistook the order from nilagang tuna. The kinilaw was placed in paper plate so the sauce was absorbed by the paper plate. It wasn’t tasty as well. Sayang pera. They should really consider replacing their “cook”. Mas marunong pa ako magluto.

10. Breakfast was insufficient for seven individuals. Their hotdogs were the cheaper palengke version, which was why they weren't tasty. The corned beef they supplied was either Argentina or 555, and obviously it was not good; instead of onions, they used scallions. The eggs were most likely prepared some days previously.
P.S sana ginising nyo kami at kami na nagluto ng breakfast. Yung hotdog sa gitna nyo hinati, parang inoperahan nyo lang.

11. They should think about getting a generator. The power went out early in the morning, and it was really hot.

The beach was fantastic. It has whiter sand than Pangasinan, but returning there and staying at The Cheril Alorro Hostel is a bad idea. Because the space is so limited, I won't be returning for a while. There is lot of room for improvement. I hope the owner reads this. Sayang ang potential ng place na to.

To the caretaker: Make sure kumpleto lahat ng gamit ng room before allowing your guests to check-in bilang ghosting na kayo pagtapos. Bibilis nyo maningil pero di kayo mahagilap pag may issue ang kwarto. 🙄🙄🙄

at first i was really amaze to the place when i see it in social media but when i go there i notice the road is not totally accessible and when i reach the place i see a lot of trash and so crowded that time and the people around are not accommodating also and the they don't have restaurant or canteen for overnight costumers so better pack a food when you go their.

I was immediately captivated by the beautiful surroundings of the resort. The beach was pristine and inviting, perfect for relaxing or reading. The ocean was clear and great for swimming.

Alorro Beach Resort seems like a great place to stay for a relaxing beach vacation. However, if you are looking for a luxurious resort with all the bells and whistles, you may want to consider staying elsewhere.
