We were staying fairly local and wanted to explore so arranged two trikes to take us to start the hike…well that’s what we thought we asked for but the language barrier was tricky. We ended up being biked up to the top, the bikes were pricy in Philippines terms but they waited and brought us back. Although it was a little cloudy the views we saw were amazing. Unfortunately, the mountain peak is much unloved 😔, a lot of rubbish, pollution and no care for nature at all. I wouldn’t recommend it for nature lovers

It was interesting to climb but can be done by car. We used the car to climb up to a certain place then walked the distance to the top in 15 minutes or so. The view is ok, pleasant. Good for beginners.

We didn't take the usual trail because I easily get winded. The guide from Camp Netanya (Mike) was knowledgeable and courteous. Be careful if you're not wearing shoes suitable for climbing because you could easily slip — good thing Mike was there. Enjoyed the trek, 4/5 stars.

Beautiful view. After paying we almost couldn’t return due to the cows charging us anytime we tried to pass the trail. They should do something to give some minimal protection or at least give a warning considering the charge.

Guide is not required. You can reach the peak for less than an hour depending on your pacing. Along the cemented road at the foot of the hill was filled with LOTS of trash (that's the sad part) This is the first time that I saw a carabao on a peak.

You can hike or drive to the top of Gulugod Baboy. Well the parking is close to the top, you have to hike another 10-15 min to get to the very top. But, the view from the parking area is good enough.

Went to the top via tricycle to catch sunrise. P750 seemed high but was ok after getting there - it was a lengthy trip. Was supposed to hike down but asked the driver to stick around in case we changed our mind. There was a a short hike to get to the top from where we were dropped off. View is nice - but that's given since it was the highest peak. We went down via tricycle again so this review is purely based on the view, not the hike up.

The mountain is just close to the resort we stayed. It has gorgeous view over Batangas! No many travelers around so we can enjoy the friendship with the cattle and goats!

This is a perfect mountain for beginners. Be prepared to walk a kilometer or so of cemented pathway at the start of the trail which will easily tire you out. There are lots of small stores selling water, drinks and "halo-halo" so feel free to do a stop over if you're not conscious of the time. They also sell a wooden stick if you do not have a trekking pole. I highly suggest that you bring one or buy the stick at 20 pesos which is sturdy enough to get you through the whole trek. Don't forget the essentials- hat, sunblock, water and energy bar. The summit offers a good view of the sea and the surrounding area. Very pretty sight indeed!

Highly suggest people to go there for the view of Batangas and sunset! We drove half way and walk to the peak.
