Planet Dive is an excellent resort for diving. You can see real reviews on its true Trip Advior page under Specialty Lodging in Mabini. The review by “Charles121223243” written on this page was made by Mr. Kirill Babaev, a linguist from Moscow, Russia. Kirill Babaev has another Trip Advisor account --- “cyrllo”, supposedly from Norway. Kirill Babaev is in the habit of making false Trip Advisor accounts in order to discredit people and establishments with which he has personal issues with. Fortunately his reviews are exactly like his character --- clearly lacking in honesty, substance and credibility.
In May 2013 Kirill Babaev went on a 10 day tour around the Philippines that included a trip to Planet Dive where he had a fantastic time. When it was time to check out of the resort however, he claimed that his bill was higher than what he was quoted. That claim is not true and there are only two explanations for Kirill Babaev’s reaction: 1) he was not paying attention when the price was quoted, or 2) he is in the habit of lying in order to avoid paying in full.
At the end of the day, Kirill Babaev lied to his tour provider three times. First, he said that he ran out of cash to pay in full because he paid more than he expected at Planet Dive. But he actually paid the resort with his credit card and did not use any cash there. Second, he said that since he did not have enough cash he would pay the remainder of his tour cost via bank transfer. Third, a few hours after he said that, he emailed that he had already ordered the fund transfer. He actually never ordered the fund transfer and never paid fully for his tour.
Obviously, reviews written by Mr. Kirill Babaev, as “Charles121223243”, “cyrllo”, or any other of his invented Trip Advisor personae are as unreliable and dishonest as the person who wrote them.

Theres a number of dive resorts in Anilao so I cant say PD is the best one since I’ve only been to a couple of resorts. But what I can say is that my family and I had a really great experience.
First things first, as a diver PD is really a great destination. The DMs in the resort are very professional and they have a very good eye for spotting sea creatures. Another awesome trait of PD is they have shore dives. Not just any shore dive but their shore is a great place to scuba and snorkel. You can see this with all the other boats that go here to dive.
Their rooms are well kept. You can see that they regularly clean the room and change the sheets. Its no 5 star hotel but its above average for a dive resort. Plus they allow pets. This was really nice since we have a dog who also enjoyed his stay in PD.
I think our favorite besides the diving in PD is the food. Its a buffet style so you can keep going back to make sure you’re really full. Once you’ve tried the food Im sure you will agree that it’s really good. Not just the food but also the dessert and fresh shake or juice.
Planet Dive is really a divers go to place in Anilao😉

Friendly and accomodating staffs, nice place, and good food! Went with hubby and friends.. One thing to improve is the shower room, management need to add more of it so all guests will be accomodated. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here :)

Planet Dive used to be a good place to dive. However, since they hired new dive masters including Mr. Leo Cuesta it went all wrong. The new people are just unprofessional, and this unfortunately hits badly the reputations of the place.

I had such a blast, diving Anilao with Planet Dive. I arrived two days earlier and I was not able to find a dive shop in Manila that would provide the transport to Anilao. Then I contacted the Dive Planet and not only a driver picked me up from the hotel in the morning, but I had a whole boat for myself with the greatest sea creature finder Alan- my dive master. The whole crew took a great care of me. First, I did a coral reef dive where I saw incredible amount of nudibranchs and soft corals, even a sea snake and then we did a sand dive, where finally I was able to see the frog fish, plus several octopuses, mantis shrimp and big conches. Alan was great, he knows so well the sea creatures and their behavior. I dived the whole world, but this was my number one spot. Thank you Alan, thank you Planet Dive, you were the best!

Visited this resort for the second time, this time we booked a room (yellow room) it has a queen sized bed and 2 single bed. We checked in late 11pm. Tip: it is much cheaper if you book the hotel to Planet dive (3500) itself rather than booking it from Agoda (2500) because it includes 4 meals. We booked through Agoda and have to pay for 500/pax for a breakfast buffet (egg, longganisa, ham, corned beef, soup , juice and coffee). Diving as usual is great except for their equipments who needs upgrading (im getting my own soon). Hotel is currently updating putting a pool, i hope the room gets upgraded too. This resort is a pet friendly which is a plus for me. Best part is they allowed us to check out late since I finished diving late. Thats customer service :)

I started my diving experience at planet dive, and a lot has changed going back after trying out other resorts near the area. One can always depend on planet dive as having remarkable people. they are very accommodating, knowledgeable and fun. I remember my best diving experience at this place. Food during Saturday was awesome but Sunday was a downgrade. The turon (banana fritter) chocolate is a must try and their grilled specialties, all happening on a Saturday. The deck is one of the best places to view the Anilao sunset. I recommend getting the red rooms. So far, the rooms I have stayed at does not have cable tv making it a pure diving resort. its a good opportunity to network with other divers. The house reef is a known diving spot and I was allowed to dive on my own which was an empowering experience. Every time I have guest who are not picky with the place but wants an awesome diving experience, I always have planet dive on top of the list.

good day,
I'd like to inquire how much is your intro scuba diving package and inclusions, accommodation rate for 1-2 pax. no specific date yet but I'm planning on January 2018.
Willing to join other divers if ever there is as I might travel solo.
thank you
