For a non-diver but snorkeling only person like me, Anilao is an okay place for me. But I would recommend it for those who like to dive and have the money to burn. Our vacation was quite expensive huh. But our snorkeling experience made the small irritating things forgivable. The place is so blessed with diverse marine creatures. It almost felt like there trained to swim with humans. As what the boat guys did they are behave. The fishes are gentle. The sight underneath was breathtaking.

Our first visit to Anilao and we did not know what to expect. Eagle Point Resort was perfect. It has everything you need there and you would never have to leave. When we got a bit acclimated and wanted to wander we found interesting things to do inside the resort. The room was spotless, roomy, ocean view. The only negative is that this is a huge property. Checking in and out was chaotic. We are already talking about a return trip and would definitely go back there!

We went to Anilao beach and Sampanguita as part of a boat tour from our resort. It was an amazing experience. My children and I loved it! The reef is even healthier and more vibrant than the reef we saw at Culebra beach in Puerto Rico (before the hurricane)! Diving lovers and eco-tourists should go out of there way to see this reef before it is too late.

You come here for the diving. There are over 50 dive sites for all abilities of divers. I did my advance open water PADI course which included a deep dive and wreck dive (into a sunken casino barge). I also did a couple of skills classes including a navigation lesson. Finally I took a class in underwater photography.
Ronnie who runs the place is a super friendly chill guy. A passionate under-water photographer he is a great instructor. The resort organized my food and travel to/from Manila which is about 3 hrs away.

I just completed a day of diving with these guys. I am a solo Australian chick so I was a little nervous, but they organised a tricycle service to/from my resort and the dives were well run at beautiful locations. Lunch was great and I enjoyed the mango. A special thank you to Sam and Robin.
