this museum we discovered by accident mot realising its historical significance
it has a real role in the katipunero movement and saw many key moments in overthrowing spanish colonialism as well as celebrating the heroism of its former occupants
tour guide was highly knowledgable which is good as not much to read to explain the story
all in all the tour takes around 40 minutes including a video and a full tour of the house but it is long enough to hold kids attention and educate them

Well preserved Casa Villavicencio, one of the must visit heritage homes in Taal. It was memorable that our visit on June 12 coincided with the Philippine Independence Day. Gliceria Villavicencio is said to be one of the unknown heroine of the Philippines.

This is one of the magnificent and well-maintained historic houses in Taal. There is a small admission charge.

There's an entrance fee of 100php. Opens Friday to Sunday 8am to 5pm. Since this is private owned house during weekdays you can only visit it upon request. Upon entering you will watch a short video about the history of the house. Everything is well preserved though there's a little modern touch in dining area. Our guide in the house speaks Tagalog all the time and not in English that's why I always translate it to my foreign friend.

From the outside, it was just another heritage house...
-You knock and you are led inside and greeted with baskets of cool towels to freshen you after touring Taal.
- The most enjoyable part of the tour is being able to don traditional Filipino attire. Don't worry about sizes... it will fit everyone as they considered have drawstrings and pins to adjust.
- Staff helps you get dressed, styled for posing to get vintage looking photos.
- Make sure not to miss this!

First time to visit Casa Villavicencio and I was so impressed! Full of history, as if you were re-living the past. Highly recommended for both local & foreign tourists. A must see when in Taal, Batangas!

Entrance fee is 100 pesos with merienda. You'll start with a film showing to get a bit of history. Then go through the huge house with nice furnishing, glorious windows, and amazing ceiling. Lastly, you'll have suman and hot choco. It was worth the visit.

The house is really worth a visit if you like antics and architecture. The entrance is a bit pricey but includes delicious snacks to enjoy in the garden a bit as if you were part of the place. Lovely guide and caretaker.
