Guests are welcomed in an enclosed air conditioned area with a short informative video about the history of the museum, which was a welcome relief from the intense heat outside.
After the video, guests leave the airconditioned area to tour the house via a guided tour. The house is grand, even in today's standards, and the tour guide was very animated as he discussed the story and the history behind some of the museum pieces.
Admission is free, but the museum accepts gratuity.
We would love to come back here with friends and visitors.

I learned a lot in this museum. It is best to know your roots and history because these affect the present and our future. Let us learn from our history so that our future becomes bright. Place is well maintained clean restrooms, informative curator, and guides, A must see when in Southern Luzon area.

A well maintained relic of the past. An introductory video, then free to explore the house. Free, though donations are happily accepted.

We are so glad to have visited this musuem. Best to start by watching the 10 minute video before touring the place. It is the ancestral house of the Apacibles converted into a museum.
We loved how the old furniture was well preserved. There were porcelain purchased in the olden days from China; tables made from cutting full tree trunks; dressers built in house as the finished product would take a lot of men to carry; and other exquisite items from the Spanish era that were just astounding!
Entry to the museum is free.

Entrance to the museum is free, as it is now being run by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. Upon entering, you will watch a video giving you the background of the brothers Leon and Galicano Apacible, and their participation in Philippine history, in particular the quest for independence against American colonialism. Leon was a lawyer, while Galicano was a doctor. Both were involved in the quest for Philippine independence. Their house is a testament to this quest, and a bygone age in the Philippines.
