The original church where the present structure stands used to be one of the oldest Catholic churches founded by the Augustinians in the late 16th century. However, the original building was destroyed during WWII. Thus, the present structure is a modern one. It is very beautiful inside, but most of what you see in it is modern. Aside from the church itself, there are some nice buildings near it (like the Sta. Teresa College and the building housing the parish office and the seminary).
