It's a well laid out route in a huge cave with a possible 4 hour trip for those who prefer extreme tourism. The main route lasts about an hour and is good for young children. I would advise to take some cardigan or a jacket,...More

We arrived at about 11 am. on a blisteringly hot Sunday in June and were surprised that there were only half a dozen or so cars in the car park. No queuing to get in! We were given audio guides for the visit which were...More

Well lit with excellent formations giving a good sense of descent into the rock via damp metal stairs. Quiet when we visited so able to self guide with the audio tour.

Dropped a friend off at the airport in Montpellier and stopped by Le Grotte de Trabuc on the way back to Ales. I love caves and have done several back in the US and Trabuc did not disappoint. Instead of having to wait for a...More

Went to the grot with my 2 toddlers. We were first one there and were able to go in right away. We got the audioguide (included) and took tour on our own pace. They asked us to keep the kids close, but we carried them...More

Visited on Saturday afternoon in mid August with my wife and teenage daughter, thought it surprisingly good actually. I dont go to many caves but this was very impressive. Quite a lot of stairs (descends about 100 metres and there is no mechanical lift! and...More

Great tour through chambers with some fantastic formations. Lasts about 40 minutes. Tour guides speak French but we were given English earphones so didn't miss anything. Remember that whilst it might be 30+ degrees outside it's only 14 degrees inside so a hoodie might prove...More

Our family of 4 enjoyed this 90 minute visit into the Grotte. The guide was good, spoke with humour, gave interesting details, and delivered it clearly. Everything was in French, which was fine for us... There is an audio guide for English speakers but not...More

Not sure what the negative reviewers expected. It's a cave system and in a remote part of France. It's not going to be a Four Seasons level of service! We thought the lady on the desk was helpful and very courteous despite not speaking English...More

We visited this cave on a wet day in late September. We were two English speaking Scots with two Swiss families, one of which was chaotic; they remained a problem throughout the visit, taking no account of safety, not listening to the information and intending,...More
