Went up just to see what's on top of the stairs and I was not ready for the trip. I find it high for people who haven't had any exercise for quite some time. And I also find it too steep. The view at the top is just ok. And since I have a map, I got to identify the islands around. Would be good to go up if you will attend mass or if you are a pilgrim.

An amazing view from the top of the mountain and a small chapel with a statue of mother Mary. I didn't count the steps but they must be over 500 so you probably should not make the climb if you have leg problems. Bring some water and wear comfortable shoes and you will never forget the view at the top.

I wanted to see the Grotto of Our Lady of Peace so I braved the climb up the many steps to the top. The view is awesome as you get to see the Caramoan Islands. Such a sight to behold. It's also peaceful & quiet at the top. A good place to relax & meditate.

The 500+ concrete staircase to the Grotto was indeed tiring but manageable. Although some step riser height were too steep. The staircase though has handrails all the way to the top for safety. There is a small store at the entrance selling drinks, snacks and candles for offering at the shrine. The huge statue of Mama Mary was very beautifully constructed, although I wish it faced in a different direction as there is a tower (photo bomber) at the back that destroyed the view (like the Torre de Manila in Luneta). There is also a small chapel at the base and an awesome view of the Caramoan Group of Islands. A visit to this place is worth it.

Lots of walking to reach the top. Trail is okay but if you have asthma or gets tired easily walk at a slow pace and bring lots of water. Restroom is not maintained here.

Be ready to climb over 500 steps up to the shrine. Bring water with you. be careful with small green snakes, the size of a pencil, falling from trees near the area where you light candles and pray.
