    A must
Went for the early military musical parade which was great. Music good and no problem watching. We were due to take a tour but wanted to change the time for that which was not a problem. William was our tour guide. First class job. He was clear and asked all questions. We then watched the changing of the guards.

    Worth a Visit
We had a great experience and really enjoyed the tour. The price for admission was very reasonable. The tour was about an hour long and learned a lot about the Citadelle. You also can’t beat the views of the city when visiting. We also enjoyed watching the changing of the guards. Would definitely recommend a visit here when visiting.

If you're in Quebec City, this is a must.
If you're in Quebec City, this is a must. We arrived in time for regimental music performance and 10 a.m. on the parade ground. The 30-minute concert was great and not what I was expecting from a military marching band. Yes, they played some traditional stuff, but then they played arrangement of both a Bill Eilish and a Bon Jovi song. The museum highlights the struggles French Canadian members of the armed forces faced and how they overcame them. It looks at the contributions to NATO and UN peacekeeping roles as well as the sacrifices made in WWI and WWII. You can also have you photo taken with mascot goat named Batisse.

Guided tour is the only way to see the Citadel
I took the guided tour with Brandon in November 2022. Brilliant tour guide and answered all my questions. One question, in particular, was about my ancestor Sir Guy Carleton; he said that there isn't anything on him at the citadel but that he was taught about him in school growing up. Knowing there would be some literature on him, I researched him more. The citadel itself was impressive, but I loved the little museum inside. If I am ever in Quebec, I will definitely visit again!

    Guided tour only
We visited the Citadelle on July 9. Free parking is available in the Citadelle. You can only visit the Citadel with a guided tour. There is also an opportunity to visit the residence of the Governor General. On certain days the band of the 22nd Royal Regiment plays at 10am. After or before the tour you can visit the museum of the 22nd Royal Regiment.

    Enjoyable guided tour.
We were not particularly excited to visit this attraction, but actually we enjoyed it. You have to do an hour guided tour of the barracks, there is no other way to look around (as it is an operational installation) and the young lady who showed us around was enthusiastic and amusing in her story telling. It is a bit of a skim the surface type if tour, but we timed it right to witness the noon gunfire....and you do get some good views of the city. It is worth the effort to visit, but don't expect to be shown everything.

    Amazing place
La Citadelle de Québec is a functioning quarters of a section of the Canadian armed forces. It is also a museum and a tourist attraction. Its history goes back to the 17th century when the French started building fortifications and this continued under the British influence in later times. It's a very interesting place to visit as it provides a taste of Canada's origins. Guided tours take visitors around, including a visit to a small museum. Entry to the Citadel is by paid ticket.

    Loved this place!
Beautiful views during the winter, so snowy and gorgeous. We loved this spot. We didn’t go into the museum but did just walk around the areas that we could and it was spectacular. Definitely worth a stop by if you’re in the area. I wish we had’ve had the opportunity to go into it to see more.

Loved this place. The guide was informative and the sense of history really came to life. We got to see quite a lot of the citadel on this one hour tour that definitely was value for money.

To visit the Citadelle, you must take a tour. The things inside were good, but the tour was hurried. The guide talked very quickly, but did not impart lots of information. As an example, we had 4 minutes to view the exhibition in the magazine which was a shame as it contained some interesting exhibits. In fact she started this part of the tour by suggesting we took pictures to look at later. Other part were also rushed, or had an odd focus. We learnt a lot about the 22nd Divisions goat mascot!

The exhibition at the end was very good but that was self led.

The guided tour was great. The tour guide was agreeable, well informed, and spoke excellent (if accented) English. But you have to be really into military history to make it through the entire museum!

My family took a tour of the residence with Dimitri. Our guide was knowledgeable and very patient with our curious and opinionated group. Well done Dimitri!

Booking was confusing as there are both English and French tours and the website was unclear. Having arrived early, we visited the 22nd Regiment's museum which, was a bit static and boring. The tour of the Citadel started unfortunately with a very loud road cleaning truck blocking out the introductions. Once the tour got going, there were stop points at the gunpowder store, hospital, prison and city viewpoint. None of the anecdotes were particularly interesting, so I didn't learn as much as I'd hoped and wasn't really entertained. Highlight was the sounding of the 1200 gun.

This is a working barracks and as such this means you cannot explore the site on your own.

The tour was the very informative but overly rushed with no time to linger and enjoy what you were seeing.

The museum is a mixture of things some of which are very interesting and some of which are not. The highlight is the medal room which houses 3 Victoria Crosses (the story of the earning of these is well explored elsewhere in the museum) and a number of CBE medals. Sadly photos are not allowed.

Shame the guided tour is so rushed as otherwise this could be a great place to visit.

An amazing tour of the residence with Laurent. His knowledge of Canadian government and its relationship to history was really impressive. It was inspiring to hear his passion for his country and its heritage. Highly recommended!

Two amazing tours and guides. Separate tours of both the governor general residence and the citadel grounds and buildings. Both very informative and entertaining. Bravo Demitri and Jeremey!

Very interesting and informed tour. The tour unfortunately felt rushed, unable to stay in places to read the information. The tour guide was great and very well informed.
