I recently used points to reserve a room for my 45 year old son who just returned from teaching overseas and has yet to procure a US credit card.
The front desk people and management were adamant that he needed an approved credit card upon checkin to cover the $100 security deposit. They would not accept my credit card over the phone. I have used this card on over 70 occasions this year to pay for an IHG room.
His Aunt had to change her plans and travel a long distance to be there when he checked in with her credit card.
The arrogance of one front desk female was unbelievable.
While I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, believe me when I say that I will never stay here again.

One of the tallest buildings of Montreal. Went on a business trip to one of the offices in this building. The view from the higher floors of the building is breathtaking.

The rooms are clean and modern. The dining room is e cellent for the price. Rooms a bit pricey but I was there at the height of tourist season.

What a pleasant surprise in the heart of the city a hotel with real people who really care about their guests. From the moment we arrived until our departure two nights later we felt like our business meant the world to this Marriott. The breakfast in their restaurant was fabulous, friendly, speedy. The coffee bar in the lobby a real treat. Front desk staff, concierge staff, door staff - EVERYONE - took every opportunity to ask if they could help. Their recommendation to take a taxi rather than drive was very appreciated. Free maps, suggestions, information, smiles and graciousness were abundant. Well done!

This is one of the highest scyscrapes on Boulevard René. Can't be missed if you walking/driving this road. Don't waste time here. It's enough to see it from outside a few minutes and move on. There is better buildings to see.
