It just keeps getting better and better. Ungroomed, sometimes muddy, possibly icy but a busy park with new station platforms. While I was happy to see underbrush cleared, and historic rail platforms suddenly appear, I wish the city had spent money on clearing this popular path. So far there are three of these over designed ‘stations’ ... no porta potty, no shelter, no emergency call box. The platforms are ‘fancy’...one would suffice, but this is a jogging biking trail..,think of safety. Of comfort.
Not this silly History lesson. My advice, watch your step and carry a cell.

When visting Toronto, a tour of homes in Forest Hill is a must. There are many consulats, famous hockey players, actors who make their home here.
The restaurants in the Village area are great and what a variety of foods. Coffee shops abundant and just a cosy feeling when wandering by car or foot through this beautiful landscape area of parks and recreation areas.

The houses are being renovated slowly and as they are they are going up and up in price. Historical renovations with stone, high gables, making them all seem to be from the same very rich era a hundred years ago. At one time not so expensive, now they are all worth millions, multi millions. Some winding streets, some forest, priced out of most people's ability to live here but nice to drive through. I am sure those living there don't like it. Pretty cool stuff seeing how they have made these mansions fit the modern lifestyle on some small, and some big lots. Of course the land taxes are outrageously high. Still, a place you can dream about living in being sort of close to all Toronto's amenities.

I was expecting a few block of indie cafes, book shops and boutiques, but what I saw was one intersection full of banks and a Starbucks, where's the Village ?. Yes there are amazing houses around it but the main Village is just that, not too sure about calling it a village maybe Forest Hill corner.
It is in a wealthy part of Toronto, so you do see women with great handbags but really....it's one intersection.Lucky i didn't bring tourist friends, I would be embarrassed

There is very little available, it’s not advisable to come here to eat out or find shops, you’ll find just basic amenities for those living locally. There are big houses but nothing worth travelling to see. There are big houses in every town, these do not look any different when you are driving along the road and big let down if you make the effort to get out there. Nothing wrong with the residential area but shouldn’t be listed as a tourist area to visit.

Friends of mine live in Forest Hill and whenever I visit Toronto I make sure to drive through this lovely neighborhood. The stone houses are impressive and the streets are warm and inviting, with great restaurants and shops. It's worth an excursion to see this gem.

Historical posh neighborhood in Toronto with old historical mansions restored and maintained with wealth and influence.
A drive thru will be just enough to see them.

A very rich neighbourhood, with really interested homes! There isn't much else to do but walk around in here but you are close to mid-town and other nice areas.

This is a high end Toronto neighbourhood with stately homes and the best private schools in the City.
