Lots of various stalls/shops within the market, most of which are for take home foods e.g. meats, cheese, fish etc. Good range nonetheless. Gift shops are reasonable priced. Well worth taking some time out to visit. Some cakes/sweet treats to be bought which were very nice and tastyy.

Visited the market with a group of 6 on a Thursday afternoon. Walked around and looked at all the inner shops and stands. Mostly fresh produce/fish/ingredients but also a handful of food/meal spots to choose from. We enjoyed a variety of dishes (pizza, oysters, Chinese food, meat pies, and pastries). Very clean and easy to navigate. Loved visiting this adorable market!

A good market but more tailored at people who live in the area. It was marketed to us (pardon the pun) as a place with lots of food stalls but this isn’t really the case. A lot of the stalls are fruit and veg, or raw meat stalls so isn’t helpful for a traveller.

Underwhelming market, definitely seen more exciting markets. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t go

This market was underwhelming. It was like a huge grocery store. I thought there would be more places to dine at but that was not the case. It’s worth seeing but if you don’t around to it don’t sweat it.

Great market. Historic, fun, lots to see, eat and buy. It's busy but its a market so that's what you want.

Always a good place to go on a Saturday morning. We get fresh bagels at St. Urbain, bread at the bakery on the mai floor, and then latkes, blintzes and cabbage rolls for lunch.

Go early for fresh goods. Don't buy any of the costume jewellery as they break easily.

Not sure where St. Lawrence Market picked up the moniker "world's best market." It's definitely not; that honor goes to La Boqueria in Barcelona, which is bigger and way more diverse. But St. Lawrence has A LOT going for it, and it's pretty great in its own right. Especially if you love meats ... there are loads of meat shops, and you can get a pretty good peameal sandwich here (that's a form of bacon, kind of between American and Canadian bacon, on a yummy roll). St. Lawrence has great food, including fresh seafood, local honey, Canadian wines, souvenirs and plenty of cheese shops. It could use a little diversity, but it's fun and fabulous. Highly recommend!

It was a little different than I expected but it’s a very big and nice market. Lots of food to either prepare yourself later or restaurant food to eat there.

Beautifully preserved historic market that I always enjoy visiting. Always astounded at the variety in the stalls and food in such a small space! You will find all kinds of stuff here to suit every palette and taste. All the vendors are friendly and happy for the business. All their prices are reasonable as well. Very centrally located to transport and easy to walk to. Highly recommend!
