    A foodies dream
One of my favourite places in Toronto. For anyone who loves food you can great fresh produce here or a hearty cooked meal. If you're eating here I highly recommend the delicious chicken from Churrasco and the chicken parm sandwich from Carousel.

    A great old fashioned market
Definitely worth a visit - old style market with huge display of cheese, meat, fish, bakery items etc with only little touristy stuff’. On a Saturday definitely do not forget visiting the farmers market behind the main market - these stalls are set up by the farmers/local producer themselves and don’t get the custom they deserve. Plus, being less crowded, the stall holders have more time to talk

    Famous for a reason
We were exploring Toronto and decided to stop by and see the market. WOW! It has so many specialty shops inside. If you like meat and cheese this place will feel like heaven. Also, there are multiple gift shops and eateries. All in one place to choose from. The market was clean and the atmosphere very pleasant.

Cozy, great for exploring and eating
We visited St. Lawrence Market on a snowy Thursday morning in February so it was fairly empty. There are so many stalls and shops to tour that we spent nearly two hours inside. I got a dairy-free peanut butter and chocolate chip crepe at Crepe It Up in the lower area, tasted New Zealand honey, and bought a local chocolate bar. Upstairs, my bf got the famous peameal and bacon sandwich from Paddington and I got a large pulled pork sandwich from Carnicero's. My bf also got a large frosted shamrock cookie from Carousel Bakery, which turned out to be vegan! Everyone was very friendly and there was plenty of seating in the middle of the concourse. We used credit card tap everywhere, but there are ATMs. The bathrooms are clean and easy to find on the lower floor. Water bottle refill station down there, too. There were more produce, cheese, fish, meat, and souvenir shops that we didn’t visit.

    Cool place to shop!
This market has it all! Lots of food vendors, such as butchers, fruit/veggie vendors, breads, pastry, and more. They also have souvenirs, maple syrup, maple cookies, flowers, coffee, tea, food to eat immediately or take home..I could go on and on. We went on Saturday to check it out and ended up going back on Sunday for breakfast.

    Fun market
This market is similar to other markets in major cities. It’s bigger though, so we spent a couple hours browsing and choosing our lunch. As tourists, we didn’t buy any cheese or meat, but it was fun to look around.

    Great place
This a great way to spend some time, particularly if you’re looking for reasonably priced snacks or meals. If you’re not hungry when you go in, you will be soon enough! Vast array of food vendors and surely something you will fancy. Lots of ingredients to but and take way too.

    Great place to grab lunch
It's a great place to spend a rainy afternoon. We enjoyed walking around all the food vendors and grocery shops. We enjoyed lunch from the Italian shop and picked up dessert from the Ukraine bakery

    So fun!!
It poured the two days we were in TO end of April but we still explored. Just got soaked while doing it! We went to the St. Lawrence Market on a Sunday morning and adored it! What a bustling, fascinating place. Definitely check it out.

Lots of options to choose from
It wasn't too crowded for a Friday at around 11:30, so it was a pleasant experience to walk around. The market isn't that big but there are still lots of options to choose from. They sell everything such as souvenirs, meats, seafood, produce, desserts, bakery items, and there are some lunch spots as well. We didn't try anything since we had just come from brunch but it seems like a cool place to go food hopping (though some of it can be pretty pricey).

Really pleasant place to wander, take in the wondrous variety of food/shopping vendors, and have a good meal. Take your time as you eat so you can people-watch. I think this is one of the older markets in North America, and it's definitely a very busy one. You can also buy groceries here - they have a fabulous variety of cheeses.

One tour book/site I had described this as one of the best markets in N. America. I've been to several historic markets in cities in N. America and I have a tough time saying what makes this one particularly special or interesting for a tourist.

There are lots of prepared food options - so a sensible spot to stop for lunch.

If you want to buy some groceries - like cheeses - there is a great selection.

If you have seen other still active, historic markets and are considering visiting St. Lawrence primarily as a tourist site during a short stay in Toronto, you may find it OK (vs. a true highlight of your time in Toronto.)

It's a nice market, but not much to do in it. I bought a peameal sandwich and I couldn't pay with my card. The currency exchange commission from the ATM was higher than what I wanted to buy.

A great multi building place to walk around. Go hungry so you can get a sandwich or so many other things from vendors. Often there are events going on there too.

Great place to kill some time and dawdle among all the wares in this vibrant market. Went for breakfast in cafe bar just on the corner of here and enjoyed the whole vibrancy of the area.

St.Lawrence Market is a great indoor specialty market experience in Toronto’s harbor district. Shoppers can purchase fresh meats, cheeses, wines, fruits, olives, bakery and specialty items. Likewise we found specialty kitchen items, olive oils and Canadian souvenirs. St. Lawrence Market has outdoor seating with umbrellas and several lounge chairs for guests to enjoy a coffee or one of their many purchases. It was a bit crowded when we attended but I recommend St. Lawrence Market for an early morning shopping experience with friends or couples.
