2019 Canada Visit - Wonderful Place to play Crazy Golf
Aug 2019
We came across this as we were driving about and thought it worth a visit - and it was.

The owner is a wonderful lady who was most helpful and fun and made the experience more fun.

There are numerous courses to play and we played two of them (I think there are five courses). Not costly at all.

You must have a go here.

Family-run gem worth the drive

This is a small but unique and challenging mini golf course run by a passionate mini golf enthusiast. The area doesnt have a lot of the fancy landscaping that larger, more commercial courses have, but don’t let that fool you. The areas are thoughtfully designed to challenge adults, while the wonderfully sculpted dinosaurs and dragons are impressive and will delight children.

“Small” only describes the area itself. Seven courses have been arranged across the property. We didn’t try the table top mini golf but I must say I haven’t seen anything like it. For more traditional enthusiasts like ourselves, we kept to the ground courses, of which there are five to choose from.

As mentioned, the landscaping is minimalist but the courses are designed well. Some are designed to look like animals and familiar shapes from certain angles (horse’s head, fish, frog, etc) so some of the fun is figuring out which is what.

For the price, its satisfying to know you’re supporting an independent, family-run business. If you meet the owner, she’s happy to tell you the personal history of her course and share her enthusiasm for the game.

If you have an appreciation for mini golf, check it out!

This place has been opened since I was a child. It hasn’t changed...great place for children 8 and under...prices are out of control but you can’t put a price on a child’s happiness. For people form out of town trying to find this venue, get the GPS out!

Not worth it
Aug 2017 • Family
We went with 2 grandkids age 11 and 3. The pricing was such that we had to pay for 18 holes of mini golf for all of us. Seriously a 3 year old playing 18 holes. We did not find the course very special and the "exhibits" at the end are okay but also not worth the price in my opinion. It is in the country and they have a nice vegetable operation there. Just feel it is overpriced.

Our family went here as part of a day trip to A Y Jackson Lookout. We played 2 of the many courses and everyone enjoyed them. The owner was very friendly and very helpful. Our youngest 10 yr old loved it.

I had to pay to watch my kids Miniputt.

It was about a 20 minute drive from downtown. Since the brochures for this attraction are in every tourist center and hotel throughout Sudbury, we thought it would be a great attraction. However, it really wasn't worth the drive. The property is a small area of converted farmland in the middle of nowhere.

There are some interesting dinosaur sculptures, but our kids payed no attention to them whatsoever. The owner did put a lot of work into welding the courses and dinosaurs himself. However, most of them are rusting now and many look much smaller than the brochure.

NOTE: You will need to pay $4 per adult just to walk with your kids even if your not playing. I found this outrageous.

There are 5 courses. You have to play 18 holes (by picking 2 courses). I found them all to be very similar and quite FLAT. After the first few holes, they all started to look the same. There is no honour system here. The owner is quit strict and makes sure you only play the 2 courses you pick. You actually have to take 2 balls with you. At the end of each course you ball drops into a reinforced locked box. Also, each course in fenced in so there is no moving to another course.

My recommendation would be to save your money and put it toward Dynamic Earth or Science North.

Went here a couple of times with friends. So much fun. Great little courses and very challenging!! Very geometry geared for the thinker. They have 5 (I think) courses to choose from and a couple of table (Pool) golf tables. So much fun. Bring bug spray though. Lots of mosquitoes!!

This was the adults first time, my child 7yo had been previously. We were welcomed with a friendly smile, awesome short history of their life's work. She and her husband have spent countless hours building this wonderful place. She even created and patented the game of pool golf. A must try for 7yo and older. We played 36 holes and still didnt cover everything. Every hole is very different, creative and some challenging for young and old. There are some places the sun shines bright and hot and others are shaded with a nice breeze (great balance). Washrooms were pristine, I have never seen cleaner semi-outdoor washrooms before. We had a great time and will certainly return.
