Frank has guided me a number of times over the last year or so. I was out with him on Aug 6th and brought my young cousin (a keen angler) with us. We had just an incredible day with Frank, the scenery, the boat, the gear and his knowledge were all first class. Frank is everything you want in a guide and very patient with young and experienced anglers alike. If you want a great fishing experience its pretty much guaranteed with Frank...we'll be back every year for more!

My friend and I were visiting Georgian Bay and staying near Parry Sound. He grew up spending his summers in the Kawarrhas and absolutely loves to fish.however, was my first week fishing! We started looking for a guide to take us fishing, I found Frank’s name on Trip Adviser and based on the 5 star review gave him a call. At first my friend didn’t want to drive 2 hours North to go fishing with Frank but once I put him on the phone he was hooked and couldn’t wait for the trip! Frank met us in his great big truck and his brand new beautiful Bass fishing boat which is very well stocked with great navigation and fishing equipment. He drove us to lake Onaping, which is absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful time fishing and learning from Frank. He is great, very knowledgeable, very patient, and passionate about fishing. He is kind and funny and we caught some nice fish. The boat ride was so much fun too and my friend even went for a swim, and I caught my third fish of the week! We highly and wholeheartedly recommend Frank, you won’t go wrong if you go fishing with Frank. He has fished with some of the greatest, like Bob Izumi but is humble and a great guide and he spend almost two hours longer fishing with us, than we had agreed! My friend can’t wait to go back fishing for a few days with his son. Thank you Frank for a fabolous fishing trip.

Frank was great and made it a great experience for our 3 boys, aged 6,8, 12. Searching for a fishing guide, particularly to help our kids learn to fish was hard, but we are very thankful for finding Frank. This is a large part of why I'm writing this review and submitted him as a fishing guide as a "Thing to do" on Tripadvisor in Sudbury. We were looking for a 2-3 hour experience in which our boys gained greater exposure to fishing. Last year our 8 year old caught a rock bass off a dock his first time throwing a hooked worm off a dock and our boys have been asking to go fishing ever since. Frank patiently, taught and answered questions and ended with a great "fast" (but very safe) boat ride that the boys loved. If you want to show your kids how much fun fishing can be and that it isn't a slow, boring thing to do, have Frank take you out. Best story was when he took his wife out fishing the first time when they were just dating. She brought a book to read thinking they'd through in a line and wait. He "fanned" an area, casting all around the boat, found no action and said ok, time to move on to a different spot. That isn't boring fishing. Second best was a tournament win with a large grand prize and what he did with the money. It was a great experience and would love to do it again the next time we are in the Sudbury area. (Last piece of advice: If you plan to camp at Windy Lake Provincial Park, Frank could take you out on Windy Lake, since he lives off the lake. - And kids don't need fishing licenses.) Check out his bi-weekly article on fishing in the Sudbury Start newspaper. ps: If this review sounds overly enthusiastic or nepotistic, I assure I only know Frank from this one experience. The enthusiasm comes from hoping other families can benefit from this and experience the outdoors and - at least, lessen 'screen time'.
