So much green space in this city. Lots of biking, walking and hiking trails. Every city should strive to have a system like this. Makes Ottawa a special city.

Had a walk on the Greenbelt Trail while visiting friends in Nepean. Very nice trail to have a stroll on during the fall. The one end has the Black Rapids lock on the river. A nice surprise to see while on the walk.

We stumbled on this great area while wandering around the city. It is a beautiful oasis of green, walking paths, waterways and simple nature within the hustle and bustle of the city. Wish we had one here in our city

Ottawa benefits from some city planners' foresight when they set aside a huge swath of forest and fields surrounding the city. The cities suburbs have developed beyond the greenbelt and now there is this huge nature preserve that allows for all kinds of activities close...More
