All exhibits were well done. We went on a Thursday which was free after 5:00 (made it even better!) A lot of kids made it rather distracting.

Just happens that the Canadian Museum of Nature is just a block away from our hotel. On Thursdays, it's free admission after 5 PM. Glad it was mostly indoors as it was freezing rain outside. There are 4 floors of exhibits and also elevators.

A wonderful place to visit with a multigenerational family. Although the butterfly exhibit was sold out we toured the museum for more than two hours-could have spent more time but our 3yr old grandson was tired. Extremely well set up on different floors. Of course...More

Went for the butterflies, and loved it, had a snack for lunch, not so hot, but enough. Toured before and loved the dinosaurs, check out the gallery on the lower floor, beautiful pictures

This museum is wonderful. It's big but well laid out. We spent three hours exploring the different exhibits. One of the top things to see and do while in Ottawa.

When my children were younger, this was one of their favorite places to visit in Ottawa. From the animal galleries to the dinosaurs, the Canadian Museum of Nature has a little bit for everyone. I still take the odd solo trip myself to check out...More

Thank you for your inquiry. Apologies for the delay. Summer is a busy time, particularly on a rainy day, or on an extremely hot day when it's even too hot to be at a beach. We open at 9 am. If you arrive early, you won't... More
