Fantastic for a stroll, run or bicycle. Paths on either side for many kms. Beautiful locks all easily accessible in the downtown core. Apiece of tranquility and an All season destination!

Calm, cool, shaded spot where you can enjoy the slow rhythm here, watch boat life, stroll, cycle (the cycle trails in ottawa are phenomenal!) or find a bench. Enjoy!

Loved all the walking paths and th boat traffic . The current olness by water on a very hot summer day with lots of shaded benches made iit so enjoyable

It depends, if you want to be near the parliament then pay parking is your option and the NAC National art center has pay parking. From there you can go anywhere in market area etc. If you wish a quieter setting then park... More

The closest parking lot is at city hall and costs the same as street parking, 3$ an hour I think. If you take the right stairs you end up in front of city hall steps away from the canal.
