We travel to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side a couple of times a year, but had never done the White Water Walk. It was amazing! The boardwalk is maintained well, just like all of the other Niagara Park attractions. The views are stunning and you are really close to the water and experience of the rapids. I recommend getting there early so you can enjoy it when fewer people are there.

    Great view of the rapids!
Was great from the elevator that was built in 1935 to the up close walk by the raging water rapids! Many stops along the way with history posted on the railings and walks. Please note you will have to walk through a small tunnel when exiting the elevator. Some may feel uncomfortable doing this.

    Amazing Blue Water and Rapids
This was such a neat walk! Take your time to enjoy the view and sit at the end of the 1/4 mile walk. We read all the signage along the way and at the end. The water is such an amazing blue color and the roar of the rapids lets know how fierce they are. We had the Niagara Park Adventure Pass and rode the Wego bus to get here - highly recommend as there is paid parking only at the location.

    Scenic boardwalk
The staff bring you down to a 1/4 mile wooden boardwalk next to category 6 rapids. These are the most dangerous rapids in North America. I recommend reading the signs along the way to learn more about the scenery, geography, and animal life. Definitely worth a trip.

    Nice views of Niagara rapids
A very good place for people to do a relaxed walk over boardwalk and see the rapids of Niagara up-close. They have information boards throughout the boardwalk to educate the people about facts of the niagara rapids. Enjoyed our time and clicked some amazing photos. Cons: Incredibly long wait to get into boardwalk as they only have 1 elevator which takes people from the road level to the boardwalk level and this was frustrating.

    Breathtakingly Gorgeous Stroll
Absolutely beautiful scenery, highly recommended. Even for ones that don't walk that well, you'll likely be able to do this. My only complaint is there are no benches along the way, only at the very beginning and the very end. It would have been nice to rest a few minutes part of the way through. There is also NO bathroom on the property. I wondered why the lady in the gift shop asked me if I had to go before I began the elevator ride down, and she said the closest bathroom is across the street. You'd think they could build something onsite, luckily I didn't need to, and was fine. The roaring rapids and the green water are just breathtaking. You just want to jump into it, but that wouldn't be wise!

    Incredible View of the Rapids
We visited the White Water Walk as part of the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass (Classic). This pass included admission to the White Water Walk, Journey Behind the Falls, and Niagara's Fury. We enjoyed the White Water Walk the most out of these attractions. We arrived as soon as this attraction opened at 10 AM. There was no wait for the elevator down to the boardwalk. The boardwalk is 1/4 mile long and offers an impressive view of the rapids. It's truly amazing how powerful they are! Since we went in the morning, our walk felt so peaceful and relaxing. We highly recommend the White Water Walk for visitors of all ages.

    White water experience
This short walk is amazing. Following a lift ride down and a walk through a tunnel, not for those with claustrophobia, you arrive at the gorge. The water here is white, rough, noisy and fast. The short walk brings you close to the water and you get a feel of it’s power. Plenty of photo opportunities and lots of information this is not to be missed and is good value for money.

    A force of nature
When visiting my cousin in Ridgeway, ON she suggested this site. We truly enjoyed it with lots of photos and videos opportunities. Staff is very friendly and helpful, Tristan is a keeper for his patience. A must see place to visit. Expect 1 hour to truly enjoy it. Not open for the winter season.

Beautiful scenic walk but feels like it should be free for all
Did this walk based on high rated reviews. Parking on the street is paid but you receive free once you buy your tickets to attraction. Great boardwalk alongside the powerful rapids. As others have said, not a long walk at all and whilst a stunning area it seems it should be a free walk rather than a paid attraction. Expensive at $17.50 CAD pp plus tax. The display boards showing the history were very interesting though one about the barrel riders wrongly spells the city of Christchurch, New Zealand as Christ Church.

This is where you stroll along the rapids on a boardwalk. It is beautiful and an easy walk. The rapids are roaring down the river and the sound is amazing. Buy the Niagara Falls pass that includes the attractions and transportation pass. Well worth $$

Visited 26/05/2023. This was quite spectacular to see the rushing river rapids after it has fallen over the falls. It really shows you the strength of water en masse. The informational boards are interesting as well, with different stories of people throughout. Steps littered throughout the walkway so not suitable for wheelchair users along the length of the walk.

A short and easy walk along a stretch of the Niagara River below the falls with very turbulent rapids. I thought this site was one of the best paid sites on the Canadian side of the river; most of the other paid sites around Niagara Falls were a bit mediocre in comparison.

Note: You're not seeing the falls - just rapids. But the "just" rapids are pretty impressive.

The building at the start of the walk has some fun facts about adventurers who have braved the falls/rapids.

My partner and I really enjoyed the White Water Walk. It was cool seeming the roaring river from up close. One of the better attractions on the Canadian side.

We loved this experience. The attraction was part of a pass that we purchased. You take an elevator from street level down to the water. They have some historical information but the main attraction is walking along the rapids and the scenery. It is so beautiful! You can take as long as you want observing the rapids. They have benches where you can sit and watch. The walk does not provide access to the water for safety reasons.

We knew we wanted to see the falls, but seeing the downriver turbulence was amazing. Since the free WEGO bus has stops all along the riverfront sidewalk and takes you right to the boardwalk for the White Water Walk rapids, this is an easy and worthwhile addition to your trip.

The White Water Walk is a very short boardwalk along the powerful Niagara River. It is a professional grade 6 rafting rapids.

It was amazing to be so near to the strong current. The views were stunning. Along the boardwalk, it was a learning journey reading all the display boards.

Not to miss. WEGO green line.

Heavy duty rapids and great scenery.

Interesting to learn the rapids are a result of water volume and not due to any submerged rocks. Easy walk and quite scenic.

Great boardwalk next to water. Oldest elevator I have ever ridden- was interesting to see. Daredevil stories at bottom of elevator before boardwalk were very interesting. The water color and flow/rapids were impressive. Great stop- very worth the time to stop and enjoy.
