- EmLieselBirmingham, United Kingdom227 contributionsGreat place to experience the fallsWe stopped in a couple of times, one to use the open walkways and public viewing areas and another to go down and use the other platforms and tunnels. The tunnels and lower viewing platforms are amazing. We visited when it was very cold so some of the arches behind the falls were full frozen up and blocked but we still got great views and experiences from those that weren’t. We went first thing in the day and then at night to view the falls in the dark and the fireworks. Given the time of year, it was never really particularly busy and it was a great way to experience the falls. We used the cafe once and got a couple of small things from the shop. Both had plenty of options and while pricier given the location, were less pricey than we anticipated.Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 2, 2023
- c0verdaleRiverview, Canada1,123 contributionsGreat spot to see the fallsthe Table Rock Welcome Centre is a multi-level observation complex located right next to the Horseshoe Falls, it contains all the typical touristy things (Gift shops, restaurant, etc) and you can also purchase your tickets for Journey Behind the Falls. There are plenty of walkways and public viewing areas outside lending great views for taking photos. Keep in mind this is a popular tourist spot which equals pricey everything.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 6, 2023
- sheila270Toronto, Canada3,779 contributionsGateway to behind the falls and the furyWe had to come here to do Behind the Falls and The Fury. They are positioned at the brink of the Horse shoe Falls. You also come here for the Maid of the mist tickets. There are gift shops, a restaurant called Table Rock and other little takeout restaurants. It’s also an information centre. The bridge going across is decorated with lights hanging from the ceiling and decorated trees. It’s a place worth visiting. I never even knew this place was here till I went to do Behind the Falls.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 11, 2023
- EFW2014Woolwich, Maine1,517 contributionsQuite busy!!The bathrooms here are pretty clean. You can get food, coffee, gifts etc in here. It’s also the home for Niagara fury and journey behind the falls. Both are part of the wonder pass. WeGo arrives and leaves here every few minutes.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 28, 2023
- Kelly H.Madison, Wisconsin90 contributionsA great place to view the falls!Table Rock Welcome Center is located directly behind the absolute best views of Horseshoe Falls. The views are close up and awe spiring. It was fairly hot out the day we went, so we appreciated the opportunity to step into the air conditioning for some shopping, coffee and snacks. The staff was very helpful and kind as they noticed us with 2 young kids and gave us suggestions on where to sit to get away from the crowds so we could enjoy our food.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 20, 2024
- Travelbugsforlife1,110 contributionsA must stop for all visitors in the area.Incredible visitor/welcome center. This is really well planned out. Just in front of the visitor center there is incredible views of the falls. There is also a food court, a restaurant overlooking the falls and we saw them constructing another restaurant/wine bar in there. The gift shop is very large and has touristy stuff but also some pretty great photos and art work. The visitor center is also the starting point for Journey behind the falls and the movie Fury. It also is very close to the incline ride and the Nikola Tesla monument. Really well planned out. Oh and there is also a maple syrup shop in there and you can taste test some, very fun.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 7, 2024
- LexiVCleveland, Ohio1,682 contributionsPretty & OverpricedThe views outside of this area are amazing. The welcome center itself is an easy walk from the Rainbow Bridge. The prices inside are all heavily inflated. I would not eat or purchase souvenirs here if there is any way that you can avoid it.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 2, 2024
- MRBPSouth Carolina329 contributionsNiagara Park Canada sideThere are a lot of things to do around the area, one day was not enough, explore the the Niagara Park and it's power station, Journey behind the falls, Floral showhouse, Dine in their restaurant, do some souvenir shopping and more. Some of the options of getting here are by private car, group tours, and Wego Bus. It is better to stay a night or two to enjoy it fullyVisited June 2024Traveled soloWritten July 28, 2024
- ana617ept17 contributionsBreathtaking views!Table Rock on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls is the place to go to see breathtaking views of the Horseshoe Falls, in addition to being the launch point for The Journey Behind the Falls, which gets you SO CLOSE to the falls. Table Rock has dining choices as well, we ate at the restaurant and had a nice meal. Some tables have a window view of the falls while the patrons dine. You may have to walk a bit, there are several parking lots across the street but they fill up fast, we parked in an overflow lot about 3/4 mile away.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 30, 2024

but once arrived, the mystic, power and beauty of the Horseshoe falls is just awe inspiring.
Ironic that they have a plaque at the bus station there (WeGo) taking pride that it remains a free public space for over 120years since the 1800's but parking nearby is a rip off of $28/car. Alternatively you can long-walk there from Clifton hill area if the weather is good. You can also take the free WeGo if you're staying in a participating hotel but you'll pay the mandatory local city tax on top of HST.

After looking at the Falls we stopped inside the Table Rock Welcome Centre to grab a bite to eat and look around.
We decided to go to the Market to pick up something fast and easy to eat. Prices are extremely inflated for cafeteria quality food, very much like getting food and snacks at a movie. High prices are somewhat expected due to convenience, but seemed excessive. At least there is variety of options to pick from.
That being said, the Table Rock Welcome Centre is a nicely designed space that sells the various attractions and packages to expand your experience at Niagara Falls. The gift shop is very large, and was nice to pick up a few souvenirs.

Table Rock House has been updated and feels more upscale and less cluttered. Although we miss Tim Horton's, those are all nearby. The gift shop provides a great variety of items for all price ranges. The food options are fresh although the lines were long for our choice (pizza)

If you visit Niagara Falls, the BEST thing you can do is use the Niagara Falls Wonder Pass packages offered by the Welcome center, that includes several different visits, the use of 3 line of busses and access to a film (that is the least interesting thing of the whole package)
We booked online, and reached the Center using one of the busses, without paying.
At the Center, a nice lady did everything in just a few minutes, giving us all the information we needed to visit all the attractions included in the package.
The use if the busses was also fantastic to move around effortlessly (even if the frequency of the busses is a little low, one every 30 or 40 min, and not really reliable) so to arrive at the Conservatory without problems.

When I looked up great spots to see the falls it was mentioned to stop by the Table Rock Welcome center. Well we stopped by to see the views and they are absolutely fantastic. This is more than just a welcome center (if you are from America and know how our highway welcome centers tend to be). There is gift shops here, restaurants, a coffee shop, a Niagara Falls attraction, and most importantly great views! The parking right across the street from here cost 15$ Canadian for the day, or about 12$ USD. We parked our car and have been walking up and down the long and wide sidewalk the runs right next to the Falls and river. We'll definitely be stopping back by the welcome center the next time we come here!

It was a great place to buy souvenirs and touristy gifts (which I, personally, adore). The food prices were a bit on the high side for slightly-above-standard fast food, but the selection was decent. It's also a useful place to purchase tickets for various attractions and you can use the restroom (all that rushing water outside...).
However, any time I was there it was just jammed to the gills with people. This is kind of a theme in Niagara Falls in the summer, I think, but long queues and too many people does get wearing after a while.

People flock here for the best view of the falls. Not that long ago, Table Rock was behind the falls, but erosion has left it high, but not dry. The Welcome Centre has a large gift shop, restaurant, and a way to get close to the falls through tunnels.

Popped in here to have a nose around, its up near the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
As you would expect the souvenirs in here are a little pricey. but you can get a quick drink here as there is little servery off to the side with a couple of tables.
It obviously gets a lot of traffic as there was a bit of litter around and looked like it could do with the bins emptying. But just the ticket as we were thirsty.
There is also a restaurant here but we did not go in.

So we stopped in twice. First was more of a walk through and to use the bathroom as we were heading to the city cruise. The second we stopped for a small break to get a snack, water, cool down and use the bathroom. There is a bridge in Niagara called lock bridge where people leave locks there with their name on it. I wasn't clear on how to find it so I asked THREE separate employees there and all of them looked at me like I was stupid and said they had no idea. Yet when we took the incline ride, the lady at the ticket booth knew EXACTLY what I was talking about and couldn't believe the other people didn't. The welcome center is sizable, bathrooms clean. They have a food court (didn't use) and a pastry counter (used - delicious). They have a gift shop and the restaurant. Great place for a break, restaurant not entirely suited to kids. They have a kids menu but both of mine declined wanting to eat there after seeing the menu. Not too many "lunch" type options either. Definitely more eclectic. We just wanted a burger or sandwiches... it is a small menu. Pricey too.

This is a great place to sit, shop and have a coffee. It’s big enough to hold everyone without feeling crowded and has a great vibe. If you have any gluten or dairy intolerances there is no food options e.g ice cream or cakes. My son was excited for the vegan carrot cake but couldn’t eat it because it didn’t taste very nice. So bring your own snacks if you have intolerances.

Is there any place else to park besides paying $35 to go into the visitor center?
Written May 6, 2024
If you buy one of those passes online for the multi attractions, I read you have to get it "activated" here first. Is there no way to buy one online and not have to line up at the Table Rock Centre and get it activated? Is there no way to buy it online and have it mailed to you already activated for dates you specify you want it for?

I would call them, easy to get through.

Can you tell me what is available to eat at the Welcome Center?
Written April 22, 2019
i am sure there will be more things available to eat when the weather warms up but they were renovating the main restaurant when i was there in jan. there was a horton s there at the time.your best bet to find what is currently open or projected to be open would be to contact tablerock or niagara falls tourism. the answer depends very much on when you will be going. hope this helps rosie

Is there parking at the Table Rock Welcome Centre and if so how much?

What is the parking fee - summer of 2018?
Written August 9, 2018
Most people parked at where they resides and walking along, it's a great walk plus you don't need to spend extra by going along the Falls.
