We saw a heron, turtles, toads, frogs, birds, ducks geese, and as we were about to leave we saw a huge beaver, that was very sweet and special.
I took my kids there a year ago and it was a great learning experience. They got a first hand understanding of the effects we have on the environment. Everyone should take their children here. A totally great experience.

If you are in the area and want a walk through the woods this is an excellent location. Well maintained. Often used for students during the school year. Otherwise will likely be a quiet scenic stroll. Also try Vanderwater Conservation Area near Tweed.
