They show good film about NWT diamonds were found and mined. A tour guide then gave us further information via photos and artifacts in the store. Worth a stop to learn how diamonds are extracted and polished.

I went in to see the museum and had a chance to cut and polish a chocolate diamond. I was given a wonderful personalized tour and decided to buy a small diamond ring mined in the North and cut and set in Canada.

They have a nice documentary about diamond mining in NWT, plus a hands on optional tour to polish up a diamond right in the shop. Bring your gold card and you can take home some of the fancy diamonds on sale here.

The staff at NWT Diamond Centre were very pleasant and helpful. The exhibitions were interesting. If you aren't interested in buying something, the visit should take less than 30 minutes. If you do want to buy something, this is a great opportunity.
