This centre was started over 70 years ago-- and represents one of the largest ethnic groups in Winnipeg!! The Centre presents many facets of the community's evolution. Also many decorative aspects associated with Ukrainian festivals are presented!! Its a worthwhile place to visit--- and is really a "Hidden Gem"!!

The building is NOT handicapped accessible but we were able to get in a side door with a wheelchair and then through the gift shop. This problem was complicated by ongoing construction in the neighborhood. There is a small art gallery on the second floor with a small collection of Ukrainian Immigrant paintings and a couple of historical dioramas. It is my impression that the facility is primarily a genealogical research center. The gift shop has some great culturally appropriate clothing and other gifts. The one staff person we saw was very helpful and informative.

Great gift store here for mementos and keepsakes. There is a lot of beautiful had made works available. The display on the second floor of the Canadian history of Ukrainian dance was quite interesting.

Limited exhibits at this center but the gift shop is nice with many Ukrainian gift options. The Ukrainian/Jewish exhibit was on pictures and text and very limited. No other art was exhibited?

I am of Ukrainian heritage and while out of town family members were visiting I took them to this venue, we were all very impressed and learned things about our culture and the history of our ancestors coming to this country.

Yet another hidden gem in Winnipeg and right opposite the Manitoba Museum. Doesn;t take long to visit but it's lovely building, interesting displays. The shop alone is worth a visit with some lovely stuff.

I attended a wedding party here -- it is a beautiful building and a great venue for a party or wedding. Beautiful tapestries on the walls, a bar area, wood floors and a stage. Really nice!

Oseredok, as it is commonly referred to, is a great place to visit if you want to learn about the Ukrainian Culture and Life in Canada. There are many interesting exhibits, including: Pysanky, embroidery, tapestries, pottery, art, collections, archives and so much more.

After you have visited the museum galleries, be sure to stop by the gift shop (largely run by volunteers) to pick up a souvenir, some embroidery, jewellry, a cd, a piece of art, and so much more.

Throughout the year, the Educational Centre hosts many workshops and courses in their facility.

A place to be proud of!
