This is a tall, somewhat modern-looking Catholic cathedral that very much reminded me of the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dallas, TX. I'm a big fan of Saint Andrew's, so I paid this one a visit. Come here to meditate in silence, to...More

What a lovely cathedral, with such interesting history! It was lovely to pop in and visit! Recommend if you have a little extra time while in Victoria!

We checked the times for service before going, an we arrived an hour earlier before Mass. They started service 30 minutes before the time, and we felt it was inappropriate to continue taking pictures. You also have to pay $2.00 for the Brief History and...More

TripAdvisor has a lot of churches listed for Victoria. This one is not only close to downtown and the inner harbour, but was open. This allowed me to marvel at the stained glass, columns and arches in the interior, as well as enjoy the exterior.

I have been a parishioner here for the past 20 years. The Sunday 11.00AM Mass is a most beautiful service, lovely traditional music and the Celebrant is the Rector, Fr. John. He has a beautiful voice, perfect pitch, and gives excellent homilies(sermons). A very warm...More

We attended 2 masses there. Palm Sunday and Good Friday. The Cathedral is so beautiful, the must see stained glass windows. The choir is outstanding, a person might think they are at the Opera instead of being at mass. Another must see in Victoria

The central nave of this structure is striking. A long flight of 57 steps leads to the atrium of the Cathedral dedicated to St. Andrew. The present facade was completed in 1891 replacing the design which collapsed in 1861. At the bottom of the flight...More

My family and I came across this cathedral when walking around downtown. We didn't get a chance to enter but from the outside it was beautiful. Definitely take the time to stroll the streets away from the inner harbor. You'll find treasures like this one.
