Having visited Egypt was interested to see this exhibit. It did not dissapoint with recreations and a lot of smaller statuary.

The museum enables you to understand the the history of Pacific Northwest. Clearly go with time to see all the exhibits.

Enticed by the Egypt exhibition, we invested $125 for the 4 off us to explore this museum. The Egyptian artifacts were interesting but I really enjoyed the natural and human history displays which gave me an interesting overview of Vancouver Island’s history.

We ended up buying a two-day ticket to the museum because we did not have time to see it all. It was well worth it. There is much more to see than the current Egypt exhibit, which actually my least favorite. Be sure to check...More

We took our 9 year old grandson to see this exhibit while in Victoria. He really liked it. It is different from the King Tut exhibit that was there many years ago, but was still Great. We also watched the IMAX movie: Myths of Old...More

Egypt exhibit was great. Very informative and well done. Good for the whole family over age 5. Not as fancy as the King Tut exhibit. Loved the historical timeline and information about the different leaders during those times.

The Museum is relatively small, so some hours will suffice (if you are not into reading all tags). But the exhibit on BC history (it is called "Human" history) is really lovely to see and enjoy the dioramas of a BC street scene, farming scene...More

We enjoyed the Egypt exhibits, but they were too clinical for children. The rest of the museum remains excellent for kids, though.

Took the grandchildren to the Egyptian exhibition which was good, but more suitable for early teens than 7 year olds. The IMAX Pandas 3 D film was superb and was the highlight for the youngsters!

We went as a family of five to view the Egyptian exhibit. The exhibit was decent but we were through it in about forty five minutes. The other exhibits are well done and would be well enjoyed by those not from British Columbia. It’s unfortunate...More

No they are not. There are not many "pet" appropriate areas for animals in the city centre. Lots in the surrounding municipalities.
