James Walton opened this infamous East Vancouver brewery in 1994 and today he continues to brew some of the most interesting and delicious beers in the city. Storm is well known for their unique selection of weekly rotating "Brainstorm" brews. You may sample up to 6 different beers by cash donation. The brewery itself is an example of Walton's "DIY" attitude and is a sight to behold!

Storm Brewing was my favourite brewery that we stopped at. Its interesting to be right in the workspace and see some of the work that goes into creating the beer. We tried 4 samples, and they were all very good. We hope to stop in...More

located in an industrial area of east Vancouver this place is a must-see if you are checking out micro-breweries. The staff is very friendly as they pass out the free samples of their incredible beer. You will want to leave with a growler full of...More

Made a stop while in Vancouver visiting family. Love the brainstorm beers: lemon meringue pie! Apple pie ale! Vanilla whiskey stout! Always a blast trying samples and getting growler fills.

Storm is a unique brewery, the "tasting room" is right in the heart of the brewery along with all the equipment. There are no tables and they do not bottle their beer so samples and fills only. The beer was excellent, the vanilla stout and...More

I visited Storm Brewing Company while on the Vancouver Brewery Tour. This was truly my favorite of the breweries and had the most unique beers on tap. I truly recommend this brewery for their take on the beers that they have. The only drawback was...More

If you're a little tired of fussy craft breweries, then this is one to definitely visit. No seating, no food, just donation-based tastings and interesting brews. I had a Gin and Tonic beer that was awesome, an IPA that was incredibly flavorful, and a couple...More

The bad: the place has the weirdest smell. The good: kinda a good place to hang out for beer. I wouldn't say it's the best but I didn't try everything.

We stopped in to Storm Brewing on a brewery crawl across Vancouver. This was one of my two favorite breweries. Many craft beers that were excellent. There is no seating, no fancy glasses, no food. You come here to taste and buy delicious craft beers....More

Storm is just a fun place to go to try some beers. This is one of the 4 breweries that we visited while in Vancouver. They didn't have the best beer (although it was very good), but it was definitely the most fun experience. It...More
