Amazing market place, wonderful little shops inside and enjoyed taking home raviolis. Reminder: if you are stopping on your way back to the states don't buy any stone fruit or corn as you will spend a loftlu time at the agriculture inspection and then have...More

Loved the Granville Island Public Market! The day we went, we were a group of 7. It was so fun to let everyone pick the food they wanted and then meet back together and sample each others! There was something for everyone! All so fresh...More

In my earlier review of Granville Island, I mentioned that, for me, the biggest draw is the fresh produce and food stuffs. As a result, when we talk about Granville Island, the conversation inevitably shifts to the Public Market because everything you get here is...More

Granville Island Public Market is a great way to spend a sunny or rainy or cloudy afternoon. It's very family friendly, but also great if you're by yourself or with a friend. There are enough shops and marketplaces to entertain people of all ages. The...More

One of my favorite public markets in the world. Beautiful displays of food, fresh and prepared. Come and have a lunch...some tables to sit at. If it's sunny, make a picnic. Take the ferry over from the West End. Enjoy the water.

You might not think a public market merits a special trip, but Granville Island is something special, a vibrant combination of food stalls, florists and restaurants, set in a former industrial area that's now home to upscale shops, brewpub and live theatres. Specialty tea shops,...More

A visit to Vancouver is definitely better any time you can visit Granville Island. The fresh food and wide variety of local goods was great.

We stayed on the island and walked to the market just after 9 am on a Saturday and enjoyed the light crowds and the ambiance of this great market. We picked up fresh fruit and baking. What a wonderful place without the crowds.

I am sorry I just noticed your question. There are foods you can buy and and eat near by or buy to go. especially if you are the adventurous kind then you will enjoy trying different dishes. Have a great time!
