Neighborhood: Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.

- breggie865 contributionsFrom NC, came for Laver Cup tennisA darn good place for events; warm staff, easy to negotiate access, bathrooms and eats and drinks. Good location too, as we stayed in the huge complex of high rises nearby at Olympic Village (better prices than hotels near and with a whole apartment) about .8m away. And great prices co Oates to every other arena I have frequented.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 23, 2023

Expensive to get tickets plus the food & beverages are not cheap! However it’s a great night out especially if you’re team is winning!!Visited November 2023Traveled soloWritten November 11, 2023
- ThejourneygenieAbbotsford, Canada319 contributionsRogers Arena tour minus the best partOur tour guide was fabulous and made the tour interesting. I was glad to be able to see the players' benches and penalty boxes, some luxury suites and other places where the average fan doesn't get to go. As our guide explained, since Covid and the multi-million dollar renovations to the players' dressing rooms, tours aren't allowed in there anymore. However, many other world class teams allow fans in their dressing rooms, so this was VERY disappointing. My friends have visited Chelsea FC in the UK and FC Milan, and both places allow fans in - and I daresay they're as big or bigger a deal than the Vancouver Canucks. The Aquilini family needs to remember who pays for the tickets that fund the arena in the first place, and change their policies to be more fan-friendly. Put down some temporary carpet runners and put up some "rope" to block people from certain areas, but for heaven's sakes, let paying fans see the main place we all want to see!Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 10, 2024

Paid $460 for 2 tickets, Canuks vs Chicago. OK expensive but it’s an event experience, right!
The evening started with a $40.00 parking surprise, we arrived early so we could have a meal, $58.00 later we had 2 burgers and fries, a coke and a beer, seriously?? The first period was great, Canuks up by 2, unfortunately the next 2 periods both teams fell asleep and that’s how it ended. An hour later we got out of the parking lot only to find out we had an other 45 mins to get out of down town.
My first and my last experience with a live Canuks game. Enjoy the riches while you can, sooner or later people say enough guys.

The boys gave an F- effort tonight. Should have know better than to spend $ for entertainment just to watch the Knights have an uninterrupted skate. What a pitiful performance. Great job avoiding physical contact boys.

Attended a Canucks game and if your used to English/Irish stadium experiences - your in for some shock!
more about the eating/drinking/entertainment element than the actual game. felt totally detached with what was going on during the game due to the contusious party element.
might be for some folf, but not for us.

Although the excessive cost of parking and absurd traffic patterns following an event at Rogers Arena must be noted the Arena itself is great for hockey and music, a recent Arcade Fire show offering good acoustic fidelity and a very accommodating staff. No Stanley Cup banners to muffle the sound, as a bonus! ;-)

First timers at a hockey game on Tuesday we were so well welcomed and looked after - our seats on the wheelchair platform were great with an amazing view. The service for food and drink was great and very welcome. Particular thanks to Jill English who looked after all our needs so brilliantly. We can't fault our experience for our first visit to Vancouver woukd definitely recommend going to a hockey game here we are so glad we did.

We went there for a hockey game. It's great venue but the concession food is just okay and it's pricey. We enjoyed watching the game in the private box

Zoew2019 is correct NHL teams start playing in Oct you arrive during the most inactive hockey time of the year. The NHL Entry Draft will be held in Vanc this month June 21-22 and Vancouver Canucks 2019 Development Camp will be held at UBC Father Bauer Arena from June 25-27th. Sorry you will miss that action.
Be sure to use the skytrain right from the Airport if your staying downtown its super easy, safe, clean and cost effective . Enjoy Vanc is one of the most beautiful cites in Canada especially in the Sunshine !
Can one reserve a parking space in Rogers Arena parkade? I recently had knee replacement surgery and we're driving in from Chilliwack. I use my walker and can't take the skytrain. My daughter and I would like to park and I can go in on an arm crutch.
I'm NOT missing Rod Stewart, lol!
