My husband and I had a wonderful time touring some delicious and historical food joints and learning more about the city we love and live in. Tia was our guide and she was not only informative, but very entertaining! Overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting vancouver or that lives locally. A+++

We had a GREAT time with Tia on the Gastown food tour. She was fun and knowledgeable...kept us happy and laughing (and FULL!) after our several days of conference in Vancouver. We loved the wine and nibblies and mostly the company!

Matteo was our tour guide for the Commercial Drive - Little Italy tour, and he was really great. He knew a lot about the history of the area, and talked about his family who have been living in the area for a long time as well. The tour had 7 stops, including 4 savoury food stops (my favourite was the... More

We had a great North Vancouver LoLo Food Tour last weekend. We learned a lot about the history of north shore. Our tour guide, Michael, was funny and passionate about the area. Highly recommended!

This was an awesome tour. We learned lots about Gastown and the food was amazing. There were lots of little spots with a wide range of tasting. Make sure to come hungry because there is a lot to taste, although it was really well portioned and balanced. Highly recommend!

Matteo had a passion for the Little Italy - The Drive area as his family seemed to have a lot of history in the area. We had 7 stops as the 8th just closed down; surprised that you didn't find a taker for an additional stop to be added back in - not that we had room for much more... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
