Two proud lions guard the entrance to the bridge, flanking its entrance in Stanley Park. They way about 10 tons each and are very impressive. Folklore says there are silver coins under each front foot and bronze under the tail. Worth a look close up to get an impression of the size

Lions Gate Bridge connects Stanley Park and North Vancouver. It was completed at about the same time as San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is red, but this one is green. There are three lanes, and the middle lane changes direction depending on the time of day.

Easy way to travel between North Shore & Vancouver, as long as it's not during "rush hour" traffic (LOL). Sadly the traffic has increased during the years, however driving options have not. Still love travelling this iconic structure.

Nice to walk across to enjoy the views and to drive across. I especially enjoyed viewing it from Stanley Park.

The Lion's Gate Bridge is iconic in Vancouver. Rather than just look at the bridge, you can walk over the bridge and get terrific views of Vancouver. There is easy access from Prospect Point in Stanley Park. Walk down one side and back the other.just be mindful of the cyclists and follow the sgns about which side of the path you should be walking on.

The best view points are from Prospect Point, from the Bridge just before Prospect Point, and from the seawall. Night time it's gorgeous to see lit up, it looks like a pearl necklace is strung from it.

Rain or shine, heading over the Lions Gate Bridge from Stanley park on your way to West Van, North Van, or Horseshoe Bay for the BC Ferries to the islands, the view is spectacular. It's worth the drive for that alone. However, traffic can be wicked, so avoid normal business rush hours.

Fabulous looking bridge that connects North vancouver with Stanley park. Reminds me of the bridge in Lisbon crossing the Tagus. Looking forward to actually crossing on our trips out.

Well worth a walk along the sea wall to view the great engineering of the Lions Gate Bridge. When leaving Vancouver to travel to Whistler we drove out over the bridge, a lovely experience.
