9 km south of Jasper, a 4.5km loop, if you read previous reviews there is clearly a debate as to whether this is an easy or intermediate level hike? That of course depends on your ability/experience etc. But if you have medical issues such as...More

We had hiked here a few years ago in late summer. Our visit in November found the trail just as pretty with a fresh dusting of snow. We hiked the whole loop around all 5 lakes and were surprised to find open water in most...More

This hike is a lovely walk through the woods and along the five lakes, each reflecting differing shades of green, due to the varied depths. It is less than 3 miles with little elevation change (didn't walk around lake 1). A note to photographers--be sure...More

This is about a 90 minute stroll. We took the clockwise route, starting with lake 1. Be sure to study the map before you go so you don't end up walking around lake 1! There are a few steep sections so walking poles would he...More

This was one of the best hikes that we did in Jasper National Park......there were less crowds and people and beautiful scenery. There is adequate and ample parking and then a short walk thru the woods to the start of the trails...each of the five...More

It's a short hike to the lakes from the parking lot. But this tenderfoot did not see the lakes, although the rest of the family did. The hike was up and down hill, which is not good for old knees. The walk through the woods,...More

Follow the trail from the car park adjacent to the highway for a really enchanting and easy trail around the five lakes. Not too strenuous but the views and tranquility is breathtaking. Well worth the effort, the trail is well marked and signed.

From the free parking there's a dirt trail to the lakes and you can decide whether to go clockwise/anticlockwise. We chose anticlockwise, so we began from the lower lake, which is the least pretty. The other ones are beautiful and there are great photo ops.

This was my first time at this place even do I have been to Jasper many times. The place is beautiful and the lakes have the most incredible colours. We took the short walk around the five lakes and that took around 1,5 hours.

Be sure to go from 9a to 9b or else your hike will be much much longer than you planned. We started at Lake number one and walked all the way around to Lake number 5 and back. It is a very nice Loop. The...More

No, I wouldn't recommend a stroller. Although it might be possible, you will need to lift and carry out over certain areas as the paths are narrow and rocky in places. You would be much better off backpacking your baby. As... More
